Job Summary
The Healthcare Recruiter is responsible for driving the end-to-end recruitment, focusing heavily on market-facing sourcing, comprehensive candidate vetting, and scheduling. This role prioritizes building a high-caliber pipeline of healthcare professionals, ensuring rigorous data integrity within internal platforms, and maintaining continuous candidate engagement to optimize placement rates and support early compliance stages.
Key Responsibilities
- Talent Sourcing & Pipeline Development
- Strategic Sourcing: Formulate and execute multi-channel sourcing strategies (e.g., job boards, professional networks, social media) to consistently identify high-caliber healthcare talent.
- Lead Management: Evaluate inbound applicant flow and execute proactive outreach to passive candidate pools to maintain a robust talent pipeline.
- Availability Management: Systematically capture, track, and verify candidate availability to optimize placement rates and meet urgent staffing demands.
- Vetting, Selection & Offer Management
- Comprehensive Vetting: Conduct rigorous candidate screening, competency assessments, and initial credential verification.
- Rate Negotiation: Facilitate competitive compensation discussions and align pay rate structures with market benchmarks and budgetary guidelines.
- Submission Management: Oversee the formal candidate presentation process, ensuring clinical and professional profiles align perfectly with client specifications.
- Onboarding Orchestration: Administer the offer letter issuance process and facilitate formal acceptance procedures to ensure a seamless transition.
- Compliance, Orientation & Support
- Compliance Handover: Coordinate the seamless transition of placed candidate files to the Credentialing Department for final clearance and primary source verification.
- Operational Orientation: Educate candidates on scheduling protocols, mobile/web platform navigation, and internal operational workflows.
- Payroll Advocacy & Feedback: Act as the primary liaison for resolving candidate payroll discrepancies and financial inquiries; facilitate constructive performance feedback loops directly with candidates to ensure service excellence.
Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
- Hours Target: Achieve and maintain the assigned billable hours target per week.
- Runner Count: Maintain and grow the targeted number of active runners.
- Cleared Candidates (Monthly Baseline): Deliver a minimum of 4 fully cleared, compliant candidates per month successfully.
- Registry Pool to working Ratio (Weekly): Having a minimum percent of candidates working on a weekly basis from the pool of cleared candidates.
Qualifications & Skills
- Experience: 1+ years of recruiting experience, preferably in healthcare staffing (nursing, allied health, or locum tenens) or a fast-paced agency environment.
- Technical Proficiency: Hands-on experience with Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS), Vendor Management Systems (VMS), and professional sourcing tools (e.g., LinkedIn Recruiter, Indeed).
- Competencies:
- Strong negotiation and communication skills.
- Exceptional organizational skills with high attention to detail (specifically regarding compliance and data integrity).
