The posting

Voor onze klant, een sterk groeiend bedrijf binnen de technische sector met meer dan 200 medewerkers en een omzet van ruim EUR50 miljoen, ben ik op zoek naar een System Engineer voor hun kantoor in de regio Veurne.

Om hun verdere expansie te ondersteunen, zoeken ze iemand met voldoende maturiteit en assertiviteit die mee instaat voor het operationele beheer van de IT-omgeving, maar vooral ook een actieve rol wil spelen in de verdere uitbouw ervan. Je krijgt de ruimte om zelfstandig verschillende IT-projecten op te nemen, verbeteringen door te voeren en mee na te denken over de technologische toekomst van de organisatie.

Hoe zal jouw takenpakket eruit zien?

  • Je bouwt een eigen, gestandaardiseerde IT-omgeving uit voor de internationale groep en maakt de bestaande infrastructuur stapsgewijs los van de huidige omgeving.
  • Je brengt de IT-omgevingen van overgenomen bedrijven in kaart, documenteert bestaande systemen en migreert deze naar één centrale structuur.
  • Je beheert en optimaliseert de infrastructuur rond Microsoft 365, Entra ID, Intune, Azure, netwerken, security, back-ups en monitoring.
  • Je neemt technische uitdagingen zelfstandig vast, van complexe storingen tot verouderde systemen, en werkt duurzame oplossingen uit.
  • Je automatiseert repetitieve processen met scripts, API's en AI-tools en bouwt mee aan slimme supportoplossingen, runbooks en selfservice.
  • Je coördineert externe IT-partners en volgt op of hun oplossingen voldoen aan de technische standaarden die je mee bepaalt.
  • Je beschikt over een IT-diploma of gelijkwaardige ervaring en hebt idealiter minstens 4 jaar ervaring in een brede System Engineer-rol.
  • Je hebt een goede kennis van cloudtechnologieën en Microsoft-omgevingen, waaronder Microsoft 365, Entra ID, Intune, netwerken, virtualisatie en back-ups.
  • Je hebt ervaring met IT-integraties, migraties of carve-outs en kan zelfstandig technische problemen analyseren en structurele oplossingen uitwerken.
  • Je neemt ownership over projecten van begin tot einde, ontdekt zelf verbeterpunten en wacht niet op instructies om zaken in beweging te zetten.
  • Je hebt een sterke interesse in AI, scripting en automatisering, denkt graag mee over de toekomstige IT-strategie en voelt je comfortabel in een snelgroeiende organisatie waar nog niet alles vastligt. Kennis van PowerShell en vlotte communicatie in het Nederlands en Engels zijn belangrijk; Frans is een pluspunt.
