ID.me is a full-time, in-office culture. Unless a specific job description explicitly states otherwise, all roles are on-site five days per week at one of our offices in McLean, VA; Mountain View, CA; New York City, NY; or Tampa, FL. Certain roles — such as field-based sales or other remote-by-design positions — may have different work arrangements as noted in their individual postings.

At ID.me, we embrace the thoughtful use of AI tools in our daily work and there are even occasions where we leverage AI in our hiring process. However, during the interview process, we want to understand your individual skills and experiences. Therefore, we have guidelines on how AI can be appropriately used during your application and interviews which can be found here.

Role Overview

ID.me's Recruiting Operations team keeps the hiring process efficient, compliant, and candidate-centered from the first touchpoint through a new hire's first few months on the job. This role owns two connected pieces of that experience: telling ID.me's employer brand story to prospective candidates, and owning new hire onboarding communications.

As a Recruiting Operations Specialist, you'll execute ID.me's talent marketing plan across the careers site, LinkedIn Life page, Glassdoor, and social channels, partnering with recruiters, hiring managers, and Marketing/Communications to share employee stories and team highlights that give candidates an honest picture of what it's like to work here. You'll also own onboarding communications in Enboarder end to end, from offer acceptance through a new hire's first 90 days — and you'll show up in person too, presenting at new hire orientation to welcome incoming employees and get them excited about joining ID.me. Day to day, you'll use AI tools such as ChatGPT and Claude to help draft content and summarize engagement data, applying judgment about when a human review is needed.

This role reports into ID.me's Recruiting Operations team, is based in McLean, Virginia, and follows an onsite work model.

Key Responsibilities

  • Execute ID.me's talent marketing plan and content calendar, recommending improvements to Recruiting Operations leadership and Marketing/Communications.
  • Partner with recruiters and hiring managers to gather employee stories, photos, and team highlights, using AI tools like ChatGPT or Claude to draft and tighten captions before routing content for approval.
  • Own onboarding communications and workflows in Enboarder end to end, coordinating with hiring managers, IT, and People Operations to keep every new hire informed from offer acceptance through their first 90 days.
  • Present at new hire orientation and onboarding sessions, sharing ID.me's story, culture, and mission to help new hires feel welcomed and excited from day one.
  • Maintain approved Greenhouse job post templates and candidate-facing interview materials, using AI tools to speed up drafting while keeping a human edit before posting.
  • Track employer brand engagement and onboarding feedback, using AI tools to summarize trends for Recruiting Operations leadership.
  • Support recruiting events, campus programs, and hiring campaigns with branded content and candidate communications.
  • Maintain SOPs and playbooks for talent marketing and onboarding communications, noting where AI-assisted steps fit, and escalate content, tooling, or process gaps to Recruiting Operations leadership.

Why Work With Us

  • Own the onboarding experience end to end, including the chance to personally welcome and energize every new hire from their first day.
  • Work at the intersection of storytelling, operations, and candidate experience, partnering closely with Recruiting and People Operations.
  • Join a Recruiting Operations team focused on making hiring more efficient, consistent, and candidate-centered.
  • Build practical skills in employer branding, content creation, recruiting systems, and public presentation.

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 0–2 years of relevant experience in marketing, communications, journalism, human resources, talent acquisition, or a related field; internships, coursework, and campus leadership count toward this.
  • Strong writing and editing skills, with the ability to adapt tone and messaging across channels and audiences.
  • Comfort presenting to and engaging a room, through public speaking, facilitation, teaching, or similar experience gained in school, internships, or campus organizations.
  • Experience contributing to a content calendar, campaign, or communications project through an internship, campus organization, coursework, or other relevant work.
  • Comfort using AI tools such as ChatGPT or Claude to draft written content, with judgment about when a human review is needed.
  • Ability to manage multiple deadlines and handle confidential candidate and employee information with discretion.
  • Strong attention to detail, including proofreading and consistency across materials.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Internship or campus experience in recruiting, talent acquisition, employer branding, or marketing.
  • Experience facilitating or presenting at orientations, trainings, campus events, or similar group settings.
  • Exposure to an applicant tracking system or onboarding platform; experience with Greenhouse or Enboarder is a plus.
  • Experience creating or maintaining content for an organization's website or social media channels.
  • Experience using design tools such as Canva or Adobe Express to create social media and branding assets.
  • Familiarity with basic content or communications metrics, such as engagement, website traffic, email performance, or survey feedback.

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.
