2. Role Summary

iDream Education is looking for a Senior Programme Officer / Programme Lead – Uttar Pradesh to drive adoption, engagement and sustained usage across a large-scale education programme across Uttar Pradesh. The role will be responsible for continuously monitoring programme performance, analysing usage and engagement data across locations, identifying gaps and emerging patterns, and understanding the ground-level factors that explain them.

The role sits at the intersection of programme data, field realities and stakeholder coordination, working closely with implementation, data/reporting and impact teams to ensure that insights translate into action, adoption and sustained programme usage.

3. Key Responsibilities & Deliverables

Pillar 1- Programme Adoption, Engagement & Performance

  • Drive adoption, engagement and sustained usage across the programme, with a clear focus on moving from onboarding to active and continued use.
  • Monitor adoption and engagement across locations and maintain visibility on active, low-engagement and inactive project locations.
  • Identify priority locations requiring intervention and coordinate targeted actions with implementation partners and field teams.
  • Track progress against agreed actions and assess whether programme engagement is strengthening over time.

Pillar 2- Data-led Diagnosis & Programme Insights

  • Analyse programme usage, engagement and related data to identify patterns, variations, anomalies and emerging programme gaps.
  • Investigate the reasons behind identified gaps by combining data with field observations, stakeholder inputs and implementation context.
  • Develop data-backed hypotheses and recommendations on where attention, support or intervention is required.
  • Translate findings into actionable insights for programme planning, reviews and stakeholder discussions.
  • Leverage AI and analytical tools for data modelling, deeper analysis, insight generation and preparation of programme reports and review outputs.

Pillar 3- Ground Engagement & Programme Interventions

  • Undertake purposeful field visits across Uttar Pradesh to validate data-led observations and understand ground realities affecting programme adoption and engagement.
  • Conduct engagement activities and workshops to support all users in effectively using the application.
  • Engage with implementation teams, local stakeholders and programme users to identify operational, behavioural or contextual barriers to usage.
  • Coordinate and support interventions based on identified gaps, ensuring that actions are followed through on the ground.
  • Bring field insights back into programme recommendations for programme teams and stakeholders.

Pillar 4- Government, Partner & Stakeholder Management

  • Serve as a key programme contact in Lucknow, coordinating with government stakeholders, implementation partners and internal teams.
  • Maintain regular communication on programme progress, priorities, gaps, interventions and follow-up actions.
  • Build working relationships with relevant government and partner stakeholders to enable timely resolution of programme issues and support adoption.
  • Represent programme progress, insights and priorities through reviews, meetings and presentations as required.

Pillar 5- Programme Reporting & Cross-functional Coordination

  • Develop programme reports, reviews and presentations that bring together data, field insights, interventions and progress.
  • Present programme performance and key findings to relevant government and partner stakeholders.
  • Work closely with implementation, operations, data/reporting and impact teams to ensure identified issues move from insight to action.
  • Maintain clear follow-through on agreed actions, escalating issues requiring senior intervention and supporting continuous programme improvement.

4. Qualifications & Experience

Education

Bachelor's or Master's degree preferred in Education, Social Sciences, Social Work, Development Studies, Management or a related field. (Relevant programme experience and demonstrated ability may be considered alongside formal qualifications.)

Experience

  • 3–4 years of relevant experience in education, development, social impact, NGO, CSR, EdTech or government programme implementation.
  • Experience managing or supporting large-scale education, development or government programmes is preferred.
  • Prior experience working with government stakeholders, implementation partners or public-sector programmes is preferred.

Other Requirements

  • Based in or willing to relocate to Lucknow.
  • Willingness to undertake purposeful travel across Uttar Pradesh based on programme requirements.
  • Strong spoken and written Hindi and English.
  • Comfortable working with programme data, spreadsheets and dashboards.

5. Key Skills & Competencies

Programme & Analytical Skill

  • Programme Management: Ability to independently manage multiple programme priorities, follow through on interventions and drive progress against programme objectives.
  • Data Interpretation: Ability to analyse usage and engagement data, identify patterns and gaps, and translate findings into programme actions.
  • Problem Diagnosis: Ability to connect data with field realities and identify the underlying reasons for adoption or implementation gaps.
  • Monitoring & Reporting: Ability to develop clear programme reports, reviews and presentations based on evidence.
  • AI-enabled data analytics: Leverage AI and analytical tools for data modelling, deeper analysis, insight generation, and preparation of programme reports and review outputs.

Stakeholder & Field Skills

  • Government & Partner Management: Ability to work effectively with government stakeholders, implementation partners and institutional stakeholders.
  • Stakeholder Coordination: Ability to coordinate across multiple teams and organisations, including where there is no direct reporting authority.
  • Field Orientation: Willingness to engage directly with field teams and programme users and travel across Uttar Pradesh as required.
  • Communication: Strong written and verbal communication in Hindi and English, with the ability to present programme findings clearly.

Working Style

  • Ownership & Follow-through: Takes responsibility for moving identified issues towards resolution rather than stopping at reporting.
  • Independent Working: Comfortable operating independently, prioritising issues and taking initiative within the programme mandate.
  • Collaboration: Works effectively across implementation, operations, data/reporting, impact and external stakeholder teams.
  • Impact Orientation: Focuses on whether programme activities are resulting in meaningful adoption and engagement, not just completion of activities.

6. What We're Looking For — Values & Culture Fit

Integrity: Reports programme performance and adoption gaps accurately.

Impact: Focuses on whether programme usage is translating into meaningful engagement, not just completion of activities.

Excellence: Follows through on identified gaps and interventions.

Collaboration: Works effectively across government, partners, field teams and central functions.

7. Why Join Us

This is an opportunity to work on a large-scale education programme in Uttar Pradesh, where programme data, field insights and stakeholder engagement come together to drive adoption at scale. The role offers the opportunity to work closely with government and implementation partners while taking increasing ownership of programme performance and impact.

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.
