The posting

iFIT’s vision is to create the world's most holistic health and fitness platform, integrating all elements of health - physical fitness, mental health, nutrition and active recovery - into a seamless interactive experience. We develop proprietary software that learns and adjusts to the habits of each person as it delivers immersive content that guides them on their own individual fitness journey.

We are currently seeking an ambitious pace-setter to join our team as a Senior Quality Engineer onsite in Logan, Utah.

iFIT is looking for a Senior Quality Engineer to serve as iFIT’s lead investigator for high-impact product and supplier quality issues, from first field signal through root cause, containment, and verified closure. In this role, you will own the analysis behind significant quality events across iFIT’s connected fitness hardware and electronics, and translate complex technical findings into clear risk, cost, and customer-impact narratives for the executive team. Working across Engineering, Manufacturing, Supply Chain, Customer Care, and contract manufacturers in China and Vietnam, you will drive decisions on containment, ship holds, and corrective action, and set the standard for how quality issues are investigated and communicated at iFIT.

ROLE COMMITMENTS

  • Improve the customer experience by driving measurable improvement in the Perfect Order Index through targeted quality initiatives and cross-functional collaboration.
  • Sustain earnings by achieving Cost of Poor Quality warranty targets through proactive quality management and supplier accountability.
  • Champion AI adoption by implementing at least one AI initiative focused on replacing repetitive or highly manual quality tasks to improve team efficiency and employee experience.
  • Increase profitability by reducing Cost of Poor Quality through QPA investigations and continuous quality improvement activities.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Lead end-to-end investigations of high-severity field, factory, and supplier quality issues using structured methods including 8D, Ishikawa, 5-Why, and Fault Tree Analysis, from problem definition through verified effectiveness.
  • Analyze field return, warranty, customer contact, incoming inspection, and test data to detect emerging issues early, quantify failure rates and trends, and size customer and financial impact.
  • Serve as the accountable owner for quality-event communication to the executive team, delivering concise status, risk assessments, and decision-ready recommendations on containment, ship hold and release, rework, and field action.
  • Build and present executive-level quality reviews and dashboards that connect technical findings to cost of poor quality, customer experience, and business risk.
  • Direct containment and corrective and preventive actions with contract manufacturers and component suppliers; verify implementation through data, audits, and on-site validation as needed.
  • Perform hands-on technical analysis including PCB/PCBA inspection per IPC-A-610, component and system-level troubleshooting using schematics and SolidWorks drawings, and failure reproduction in the lab.
  • Define and execute verification testing including functional, environmental, and life testing to confirm root cause and validate fixes before release.
  • Partner with Design and Manufacturing Engineering to feed lessons learned into DFMEA/PFMEA, control plans, and design and process standards to prevent recurrence.
  • Mentor Quality Engineers and cross-functional teams on investigation rigor, data analysis, and technical writing; own the standard for investigation reports.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE Education and Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Mechanical, Industrial, or Quality Engineering or a related technical field from an accredited institution.
  • Minimum 7 years of experience in Quality Engineering, Reliability, or Product and Manufacturing Engineering, including at least 3 years leading complex root cause investigations on electromechanical or consumer hardware products.
  • Demonstrated record of leading 8D/RCA investigations to verified closure across cross-functional teams and external suppliers.
  • Proven ability to communicate technical findings to executive audiences in writing and in person, with clear recommendations, risk framing, and business impact.
  • Strong data analysis skills with the ability to work with large field, warranty, and manufacturing data sets in Excel/Sheets, SQL, or Python to identify patterns and quantify impact.
  • Strong circuit analysis and troubleshooting skills with working knowledge of IPC-A-610 and common electronic failure modes.
  • Authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship.

Preferred Qualifications

  • ASQ Certified Quality Engineer (CQE) or Certified Reliability Engineer (CRE); Six Sigma Black Belt.
  • Experience with SPC, Weibull/reliability analysis, DOE, Fault Tree Analysis, and DFMEA/PFMEA.
  • Experience managing quality with contract manufacturers in Asia including China and Vietnam; willingness to travel internationally as needed.
  • Background in connected fitness, consumer electronics, or motor-driven consumer products; familiarity with product safety standards including UL/IEC, ASTM, and ISO 20957 fitness equipment standards, and field action and recall processes.
  • Experience building quality dashboards with BI and analytics tools such as Snowflake, Tableau, Power BI, or similar.
  • Understanding of AC/DC circuits and motors, digital logic, and microcontrollers; experience with LabVIEW, Python, or Raspberry Pi for test automation.
  • Comfort in a fast-paced environment with competing priorities and fluency with Office Suite and Google Workspace.

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.
