The posting

About the role

The Squad is newly established to support Nordic growth ambitions and aims to strengthen early damage assessment, partner steering, and repair cost optimization capabilities across Motor Claims.

We are looking for an experienced Quality Assurance Specialist who will have the opportunity to build the Squad’s QA practices and processes from the ground up. You will initially focus on manual testing to develop a strong understanding of the business domain, system landscape, and end-to-end user flows. Based on this foundation, you will gradually shape the testing strategy and drive the transition toward effective and sustainable test automation. In this role, you will lead quality practices within the team, influence the testing strategy, and contribute to both manual and automated testing in an Agile environment. In addition to QA skills, we expect you to leverage modern AI driven‑ testing practices to accelerate analysis, improve coverage, and enhance overall testing efficiency.

As a Quality Assurance Specialist, you play a key role in ensuring the required quality level of software deliveries across the entire system. You lead the test process within the team, define and control test scope, and are responsible for test deliverables throughout the development lifecycle.

A holistic testing mindset is essential - you look beyond individual features and validate end-to-end business flows, integrations, risks, and non-functional aspects. You also use various tools to boost productivity and improve the consistency of quality engineering activities.

What are you going to do?

  • Drive and improve the test process within the team
  • Create and execute test plans and test cases
  • Combine API, UI, integration, and end-to-end business flow testing
  • Participate in test automation scope definition, develop test scenarios and analyze results
  • Apply risk-based approaches and ensure proper test coverage
  • Collaborate closely with developers, POs, analysts, UX, and business users
  • Apply Holistic view of testing by supporting Shift-left approaches
  • Collaborate with people from other functional areas
  • Participate in Agile ceremonies and release testing
  • Track defects and maintain documentation in Azure DevOps

What do we expect from you?

Must have

  • 4+ years of hands-on experience with both manual and automated testing, and a genuine interest in working with both as part of the role
  • Good understanding of QA methodologies and Agile/Scrum
  • Open mindset and willingness to collaborate
  • Experience with API, GUI/ Web application testing
  • API and UI test automation. Gherkin/ Cucumber (BDD)
  • SQL knowledge
  • Day-to-day responsibilities require a good/excellent level of English to communicate with clients and colleagues from other countries

Nice to have

  • Ability to read C#
  • Experience with Azure DevOps, TeamCity, CI/CD
  • Ability to use modern AI tools (Copilot, ChatGPT or similar) effectively for test design, analysis, documentation, and optimization
  • ISTQB certification
  • Insurance domain knowledge
  • Latvian language skills

Our promise to you

  • Monthly salary: €2500 - €3600 gross depending on your qualifications
  • Strong company culture: knowledge sharing, company events, interesting speakers, and other inspiring initiatives
  • Career and development opportunities (e.g. 3 dedicated up-skilling days) in the biggest insurance company in the Nordics
  • Challenging and exciting projects with autonomy to plan own tasks
  • Extra vacation days, annual bonus, great insurance benefits, discounts on our products for you and your family, gifts, etc.
  • Possibility of hybrid work, where office is our primary workplace
  • A recently renovated office in Riga centre with a 24/7 gym on the premises

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.
