Job Description

About IFS Logistics

IFS Logistics is an AI enterprise logistics platform that helps shippers and logistics businesses connect transport data, manage carrier spend and automate execution. Originally launched as 7bridges, the product is now part of IFS and is developed by a small, dedicated team.

The role

We are looking for a Delivery & Release Coordinator to manage user acceptance testing, release activity and day-to-day delivery coordination across the product team.

The team is preparing for its first IFS Cloud customer go-live, bringing a new API into production and recruiting a significant number of new colleagues. As the pace of delivery increases, we need clear ownership of test cycles, defects, release readiness and communication.

You will coordinate UAT with customers and internal stakeholders, maintain release plans and checklists, track defects through to resolution and support go/no-go decisions. You will work closely with Lorraine Hassall, our Quality Manager, allowing her to focus on quality standards and strategy while you manage the practical coordination required to apply them consistently.

Most of the role is focused on UAT, releases and delivery. It also includes a smaller amount of team coordination, particularly onboarding, in-person sessions, travel planning, and financial coordination.

What you'll work on

UAT and release management

  • Plan and coordinate UAT cycles with customers and internal stakeholders.
  • Confirm scope, participants, test windows, evidence and sign-off for each cycle.
  • Track defects from identification through triage, ownership, resolution and closure.
  • Support on the release calendar, release notes, readiness checklist and go/no-go process.
  • Coordinate with other teams in IFS as the product is integrated with IFS Cloud.
  • Support the UAT and release plan for Project Oliver and the first IFS Cloud customer go-live.

Supporting the quality function

  • Work with the Quality Manager on test processes, evidence and audit trails.
  • Help apply standards such as clear acceptance criteria, merge-request review and controlled production releases.
  • Support the move from periodic manual QA towards per-ticket quality assurance and more frequent releases.

Delivery coordination

  • Keep Jira accurate, with current statuses, acceptance criteria and links to relevant merge requests.
  • Maintain useful documentation and decision records in Notion.
  • Prepare concise delivery and release updates for product and engineering leads.
  • Identify risks early, clarify ownership and follow actions through to completion.

Team coordination

  • Organise onboarding logistics for new starters and monthly in-person sessions in Staines.
  • Coordinate team travel, expenses and purchase orders.

Qualifications

What we're looking for

  • Strong organisation and follow-through, with a habit of identifying and addressing issues early.
  • Clear written and verbal communication with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • The ability to work constructively with engineers and maintain agreed standards when priorities are competing.
  • A practical, accountable approach to moving work forward without waiting for detailed direction.
  • Experience coordinating UAT, software releases or delivery within a product or engineering team.
  • Familiarity with release notes, test cycles, defect tracking, go/no-go decisions, acceptance criteria and regression scope.
  • Experience managing a defect list through triage and resolution rather than only reporting its status.
  • Confidence using Jira and a documentation platform such as Notion or Confluence.

Relevant backgrounds may include delivery coordination, release coordination, junior delivery management, QA coordination, scrum mastery or project coordination. We are more interested in what you have managed than in your previous job title.

Nice to have

  • Experience with enterprise software involving customer UAT and formal sign-off.
  • Exposure to regulated or audited environments, ERP products or supply-chain software.
  • ISTQB, Agile or delivery certification.
  • Experience working within a large organisation with established procurement and HR processes.
  • Experience using AI tools to draft release notes, summarise defect lists or prepare status updates.

Tools

The team uses Jira, Notion, GitLab, Slack, Microsoft 365 and Outlook, along with IFS systems for travel, expenses and purchasing. You do not need to write code, but you should be comfortable working with engineers and understanding their delivery processes.

What success looks like in the first six months

  • Releases follow a predictable cadence and include clear, accurate release notes.
  • Each UAT cycle has an agreed owner, schedule, defect list, evidence and sign-off.
  • Customer and support defects receive clear ownership and a visible route to resolution.
  • The Project Oliver go-live is supported by a well-managed UAT and release plan.
  • Acceptance criteria, review and release controls are applied consistently.
  • Product and engineering leads spend less time on routine coordination and administration.

Why we're hiring now

The product team is growing and preparing for several important releases. The Quality Manager currently carries much of the practical coordination associated with testing and releases. This role will provide dedicated support of that work, helping the team increase delivery frequency while maintaining clear quality and release controls.

Additional Information

We embrace flexibility and hybrid work opportunities to support diverse needs and lifestyles, while also valuing inclusive workplace experiences. By fostering a sense of community, we drive innovation, strengthen connections, and nurture belonging. Our commitment ensures you can work in a way that suits you best, while also engaging with colleagues to share ideas and build meaningful relationships.

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.
