Your Team:

You’ll sit within the Clients department in the Singapore office, as the senior client-facing contact for Premium. You’ll work with the Marketing team and the Market Analyst on seminars, events, market commentary and other PR content. This is an individual contributor role with no direct reports, reporting to the Head of Client Office Singapore.

Your role in the Team’s Success:

You’ll own the relationship and the revenue for a book of high-value Premium clients, and bring in new Premium clients through your own network. You’ll be measured on management and trading revenue from Premium house accounts, trading revenue from self-sourced accounts (through your own network or client referrals), cross-selling and upselling of CFD products, and the number of new accounts opened and funded.

What you’ll do:

  • Own the relationship and revenue for your allocated Premium clients, including the highest-value accounts in the Singapore book.
  • Contact each client on a regular schedule, making every contact useful enough to justify the Premium service.
  • Review client activity and revenue, and act early on accounts that go quiet or decline.
  • Cross-sell and upsell CFD products where they fit a client’s trading, within compliance rules.
  • Resolve client issues firmly and consistently, and see each one through to a close.
  • Grow the Premium client base through your own network and client referrals.
  • Follow up your own leads yourself, through to account opening and funding.
  • Plan, organize and lead seminars and sales events for Premium clients and prospects, building the materials with the Marketing team.
  • Work with the Market Analyst on market commentary and other PR content.
  • Plan and run marketing events and campaigns set by the Head of Client, and give input on which clients and prospects to target.
  • Handle incoming dealing lines, with volumes depending on client activity and market volatility.
  • Execute accurately and quickly, with close attention to detail and solid knowledge of market mechanics.
  • Deal for your allocated clients and the clients you recruit, and handle their non-dealing queries.

What You’ll Need:

  • At least 5 years in business development and sales in a business that deals in derivatives, FX or futures markets.
  • Strong knowledge and experience of financial markets.
  • A record of winning and growing clients from your own network.
  • Good degree or diploma in finance, business or accounting.
  • CMFAS Modules 1B, 6 and 6A.
  • Business development drive, with a hunger to grow the business and your network.
  • Sales focused on growing the client base.
  • Highly numerate, with close attention to detail.
  • Builds and keeps client relationships, with an excellent telephone manner and strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Presents confidently to groups of clients and prospects.
  • Sound judgement when resolving complex client issues.
  • Computer literate in Microsoft Office.
  • Self-motivated, works at a consistently high standard, and takes action without being asked.
  • Logical and analytical approach.
  • Works well under pressure.
  • Well organised, with good time management.
  • Desirable: experience working in a dealing room.
  • Desirable: ability to communicate in other languages (Cantonese, etc.).
