Job Description

Duties and Responsibilities
As Spa Supervisor, I will assume full responsibility for the efficient operation in the following:
- I will supervise and coordinate the daily activities of the entire team, ensuring efficient operations and consistent service standards.
- I will ensure that all Spa reception procedures, policies and service standards are properly followed and maintained.
- I will support the Spa Manager and Director of Wellness in ensuring the smooth operation of the Spa.
- I will maintain thorough knowledge of all Spa treatments, wellness activities, fitness classes, facilities, equipment and retail products to provide accurate information to guests.
- I will keep up to date with industry trends and Six Senses wellness and sustainability practices to continuously enhance the guest experience.
- I will monitor daily bookings, appointments and schedules, ensuring accuracy, proper confirmations and effective coordination with therapists and other Spa team members.
- I will welcome, assist and escort guests, explaining treatments and facilities while ensuring a personalised and seamless Spa journey.
- I will monitor guest profiles and preferences, ensuring accurate records and avoiding duplicate entries.
- I will handle guest enquiries, requests and complaints promptly and professionally, escalating issues when necessary.
- I will ensure all telephone calls, emails and reservations are handled efficiently and according to brand standards.
- I will monitor upselling activities and encourage the team to promote treatments, wellness activities, fitness classes and retail products.
- I will ensure the Spa reception and retail areas are clean, organised and properly presented, maintaining merchandising standards.
- I will monitor stock levels of retail products, towels, amenities and operational supplies, assisting with inventories and requisitions when required.
- I will ensure guest billing, payment procedures and daily cashier closures are completed accurately.
- I will conduct regular inspections of Spa reception and guest areas, ensuring cleanliness, hygiene, presentation and operational readiness.
- I will ensure maintenance issues, guest incidents and Lost & Found items are properly reported and followed up.
- I will assist in training and guiding new Spa Guest Service Agents, ensuring they understand their responsibilities and follow established procedures.
- I will provide regular feedback to the team, support performance improvement and promote effective communication and teamwork.
- I will maintain accurate shift reports, operational records and handovers, ensuring relevant information is communicated to management and the next shift.
- I will attend departmental meetings and training sessions as required by management.
- I will strictly adhere to Six Senses, LQA and Forbes standards, ensuring guest feedback is considered and service expectations are consistently met.
- I will maintain a professional appearance and attitude, demonstrating responsibility, organisation and a strong commitment to guest satisfaction.
- I will perform any additional duties assigned by the the Spa Manager and Director of Wellness.
Qualifications
To execute the position of a Spa Supervisor, I must have the required qualifications, technical skills, and experience in a similar role in luxury hotels with proven results including the following:
- High school diploma or equivalent and at least 2 years’ experience in similar luxury spas and health clubs with proven references. A hospitality diploma/degree from a recognized hospitality school is preferred.
- Graduated or have a broad knowledge of anatomy and physiology, massage therapy, and beauty therapy at either NVQ, ITEC, or CIDESCO.
- Understanding and specialization of various beauty products, aesthetic appliances, their specifications, and uses. Knowledge in the use of facial, nail, or other beauty technology as required to fulfill spa treatments.
- Service-oriented with an eye for details.
- Self-motivated and energetic.
- Fluent in English and Spanish; I understand that additional languages are preferred.
- Valid authorization to work in Spain is required. Applicants must hold the appropriate visa and/or work permit where applicable. European visa or valid work permit required.
