  • Pipeline & External Management: Identify bottlenecks, refine workflows, and manage tasking, feedback, and quality control for external animation partners.
  • MoCap Direction: Direct live motion capture sessions at our Denver MoCap studio (occasional travel required) and oversee data cleanup and integration.

Requirements

  • Deep familiarity with Unreal Engine Control Rig, Sequencer, and animation blueprints.
  • 7+ years of professional experience in video game animation production, with 3+ years in Lead Animator roles.
  • Multiple shipped console and PC titles as a Lead Animator.
  • Proven track record leading character animation teams across keyframe, motion capture, and technical animation disciplines.
  • Expert understanding of 3D animation software (Maya, 3ds Max), character keyframing, facial performance capture, motion editing, and real-time animation state machines.
  • Strong hands-on experience with Unreal Engine animation workflows, including Animation Blueprints, state machines, blend spaces, animation montages, and in-engine debugging.
  • Experience directing gameplay animation feel and responsiveness in third-person or first-person titles.
  • Strong animation reel/portfolio demonstrating exceptional keyframing skills, character mechanics, body language, and motion clarity.

Cultural Fit

  • Cross-Disciplinary Coordination: Work proactively with Design, Engineering, Art, and Production to identify animation requirements, resolve dependencies, communicate technical constraints, and maintain alignment between gameplay and animation goals.
  • Passionate mentor dedicated to developing animator talent and raising team motion quality standards.

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.
