About the position

We are looking for a Light Supervisor. You will closely collaborate with the VFX Supervisor, the production team and other Skill Supervisors, and you are responsible for planning the work of your team to ensure a smooth and successful delivery.

As a Light Supervisor, you are both a team leader and a senior artist. You delegate work while being a mentor and caring for the well-being of your team. In this role your priority will be supervision, where you focus on planning, problem solving and support, ahead of doing hands-on work.

Your work will include:

  • In collaboration with Production, defining and adjusting the overall schedule for your team, taking into consideration the VFX supervisor’s vision and crew’s capabilities.
  • Understanding, developing and communicating the artistic vision and goals of the show
  • Promoting ownership and responsibility within the team and providing opportunities for artists to grow.
  • Reviewing and screening dailies both for internal and client review.
  • Streamlining and unifying templates and sequences.
  • Supporting and mentoring of artists.
  • Assisting in the development of existing and new workflows by collaborating with other cross discipline stakeholders.
  • Participate in recruitment, mentoring, training and onboarding programs defined by the Talent Development Team.

You need the following:

  • Extensive knowledge in Houdini and Nuke.
  • Experience as light lead or supervisor or experience in a similar role.
  • Ability to remain calm and confident in a fast-paced environment.
  • Understanding and solid artistic instincts in photography, film-making, design and story-telling.
  • Passion and drive for VFX.
  • Great artistic eye and understanding what constitutes world class imagery.
  • Creative problem-solving skills.
  • A humble and helpful attitude.
  • A structured approach to setups, templates and workflows.
  • Excellent communication skills in English, both written and verbal.

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.
