Today, over 5,000 global brands rely on impact.com to power millions of partnerships that deliver measurable business results.

Your Role at impact.com:

We’re hiring a technical Product Manager for the Action Processing (AP) and Contracting Squad — one of impact.com’s most foundational domains: how brands and partners define terms, commissions, lists, and contract workflows that power revenue on the platform.

This is a step up from associate-level execution. Ownership and delivery of value / outcomes are the core of this role: you own feature sets end-to-end, define what success looks like, and are accountable for shipped results — not only clear tickets and on-time delivery.

You have already made the shift to building with AI: you use agents and modern AI tooling to ship real artifacts (specs, prototypes, analyses, internal tools, personal projects). You’ll bring that operating system into a systems-heavy product domain and raise the quality and speed of requirements, tradeoffs, and delivery.

You’ll partner with a Senior Product Manager and Engineering with meaningful independence: you lead specs, own prioritization within your scope, and bring recommendations — not only options to escalate.

What You'll Do:

Ownership, outcomes & delivery

  • Own feature development for Action Processing (AP) and Contracting Squad initiatives (e.g. terms/commission behaviors, list and audience rules, contract workflows, and customer-driven requests).
  • Define success up front (metrics / OKRs), ship, and follow through on outcomes — adoption, quality, rework reduction, or business impact — not just output.
  • Write high-quality customer and business requirements that reduce rework and protect engineering focus.
  • Develop Markdown requirements that live adjacent to the GitHub repo (versioned next to eng context, not only in Confluence/docs silos); lead pre-spec and spec reviews and drive release prioritization. Optimize for short time from ask → usable draft → eng-ready.
  • Partner with Engineering through build: surface risks early; make crisp tradeoffs under incomplete information and own the recommendation.

Technical product craft & AI-native building

  • Operate as a technical PM in a systems-heavy domain: map system behavior, data flows, edge cases, and cross-squad dependencies with limited coaching.
  • Use AI tools and agents as a core part of how you build — at work or in personal projects — to draft and pressure-test specs fast, synthesize research, prototype flows, explore edge cases, and accelerate analysis. AI should cut time to a good requirement, not inflate polish time.
  • Walk through concrete AI-assisted builds you’ve shipped (prototypes, scripts, internal tools, product experiments, side projects): what you built, how agents/tools fit, what you validated, and how quickly others could react.
  • Run analyses from source data and convert findings into insights, conclusions, and recommendations that drive prioritization and outcome tracking.

Squad partnership & operational excellence

  • Keep a clear, healthy backlog (ticket clarity, prioritization hygiene, meeting facilitation, and request triage).
  • Sequence work with Engineering leads; facilitate working sessions across Engineering, Design, Customer Success / Technical Services, and adjacent PMs.
  • Hold alignment touchpoints that keep priorities clear and reduce coordination drag.

Roadmap, go-to-market & stakeholders

  • Shape and communicate the roadmap within your owned scope; connect near-term delivery to outcomes the business cares about.
  • Partner with Product Marketing on go-to-market for your launches.
  • Involve the right stakeholders; escalate only when needed — default is a clear recommendation with tradeoffs.
  • Contribute to vision and strategic initiatives in the domain through owned delivery, not only input.

How we work

  • Build deep fluency in AP & Contracting mechanics and how they connect to the broader platform.
  • Build trusted working relationships; brainstorm constructively; participate actively in team forums.
  • Demonstrate impact.com’s Operating Principles consistently (customer focus, ownership, trust, getting the right stuff done, innovate & simplify, get better every day).

What You’ll Bring:

  • Several years of product management experience (typically 3+) with evidence of independent feature ownership and delivered outcomes in a technical or systems-heavy product — not only participation on a squad.
  • Proven ownership mindset: you can point to features or initiatives you owned end-to-end, how you defined success, and what changed after ship (metrics, quality, adoption, or business impact).
  • Background in engineering or computer science — through degree and/or prior hands-on engineering experience.
  • Technical PM profile: you have already operated in systems-heavy domains; you dig into how systems work, map cross-squad dependencies, partner fluently with engineers, and write requirements that reflect real constraints — not only customer asks.
  • AI-native building with a portfolio you can walk through (work or personal): real artifacts built with AI tools/agents (specs, prototypes, scripts, internal tools, experiments). Demonstrated habit, not an interest area.
  • Fast time to value on requirements. You shape usable Markdown requirements quickly and iterate with eng and stakeholders — short cycle from ask to eng-ready draft.
  • Bias to execution and outcomes: you prioritize ruthlessly, close loops, and ship value — not activity.
  • Business economics mindset: you understand how product decisions grow the business (especially GTV / monetization), not just how to ship features.
  • Strong written craft in Markdown requirements that sit adjacent to the GitHub repo: specs, acceptance criteria, and lightweight PRDs engineers can use in context.
  • Experience working with Customer Success, Technical Services, support, or field teams on triage and prioritization.
  • Comfortable running analyses from source data and converting findings into insights, conclusions, and recommendations that inform prioritization and success metrics — not only consuming dashboards or reports produced by others.
  • Clear judgment under incomplete information: you protect engineering focus and default to recommendations with tradeoffs, not open-ended escalation.
  • Comfort with complex / lightly documented systems.
  • Customer empathy for brands and partners navigating contracting, action processing, terms, and monetization workflows.

Nice To Have:

  • Experience at partner platforms, affiliate/commerce infrastructure, marketplace, fintech, or SaaS monetization/contracting products — especially from competitors or adjacent products where you already know this domain.

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.
