As a Facilities Technician at Impulse, you'll apply your hands-on expertise in both electrical systems or plumbing infrastructure. In this role, you’ll be a key player in maintaining a safe, functional, and efficient environment for our operations—keeping everything from power distribution to piping systems running smoothly.

Responsibilities

  • Perform routine and emergency maintenance on facility electrical systems, including lighting, circuits, control panels, outlets, and conduit runs
  • Troubleshoot and repair plumbing systems, including water supply, drainage, fixtures, pumps, and HVAC-related piping
  • Conduct regular inspections and preventive maintenance of building systems to ensure code compliance and operational integrity
  • Collaborate with contractors, engineers, and safety teams to support infrastructure upgrades, remodels, and installations
  • Respond to service requests and work orders efficiently while minimizing downtime
  • Maintain accurate documentation of work performed, including schematics, manuals, and maintenance logs
  • Ensure safety standards and building codes are strictly followed (OSHA, NEC, UPC, etc.)

Minimum Qualifications

  • 3+ years' of demonstrated hands-on experience in electrical or plumbing maintenance in a commercial, industrial, or institutional setting
  • Working knowledge of low-voltage and high-voltage systems, load balancing, breakers, and wiring
  • Strong familiarity with plumbing layouts, pipe fitting, soldering, drainage, and backflow systems
  • Ability to read and interpret technical diagrams, blueprints, and schematics
  • Comfortable using power tools, testing equipment (multimeters, pipe inspection cameras, etc.), and building management systems

Preferred Skills and Experience

  • Journeyman or trade certification in Electrical and/or Plumbing (or in progress)
  • Experience in mission-critical or specialized environments (labs, cleanrooms, data centers, aerospace facilities)
  • Knowledge of HVAC systems and basic mechanical troubleshooting
  • Familiarity with CMMS software and digital maintenance tracking systems
  • OSHA 10/30 certification is a plus

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.
