You will join a collaborative, fast-paced team dedicated to designing robust microservices and integrating advanced Large Language Models (LLMs) into core architectures. The project involves end-to-end ownership, from architecting reliable REST APIs to leveraging AWS cloud infrastructure for seamless deployments. • AI Integration: Seamlessly embed production-grade LLMs (such as Claude, OpenAI, or Gemini) into backend workflows to power intelligent product features.
  • Database Management: Architect and manage data layers using SQL and NoSQL technologies to ensure optimal performance and scalability.
  • Production Ownership: Take full end-to-end responsibility for features, guiding them through deployment, active monitoring, troubleshooting, and production debugging.
  • Agile Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality software, ensuring best practices in architecture, testing, and system reliability.

Must-Have Skills

  • Backend Mastery: Solid hands-on experience building production backend applications at a Software Engineer II level. (4–7 YEARS OF EXPERIENCE)
  • Java & API Stack: Strong Java expertise utilizing the Spring Boot framework, paired with robust experience designing REST APIs.
  • Database Technologies: Hands-on experience working with both SQL (Structured Query Language) and NoSQL database paradigms.
  • Cloud & Containerization: Proven experience deploying and managing services on AWS using Docker and Kubernetes.
  • AI Integration: Direct, practical experience integrating production-grade AI models/LLMs (e.g., Claude, OpenAI, or Gemini).
  • Production Ownership: Proven track record taking features through deployment, active monitoring, and production debugging.
  • Fluent English: Excellent verbal and written communication skills for daily technical collaboration and documentation.

Nice-to-Have Skills

  • Microservice Design Patterns: Experience implementing distributed transaction patterns like the Saga pattern and Transactional Outbox.
  • Event-Driven Architecture: Hands-on experience with event-driven architectures utilizing message brokers such as Kafka or RabbitMQ.
  • Testing & Automation: Experience using Cucumber for behavior-driven development (BDD) and automated testing.
  • Advanced AI: Experience building autonomous AI agents.

Time Zone & Collaboration: This role is 100% remote from LATAM and requires consistent overlap with teams in Central Time (CT). Flexibility is expected to accommodate key ceremonies, stand-ups, and collaborative sessions within standard Austin business hours.

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.
