The posting

We are looking for a proactive and strategic Talent Acquisition Partner to deliver and continuously improve a high-quality, inclusive end-to-end recruitment service. Working in close partnership with managers and People Partners, you will shape effective recruitment campaigns, attract and secure diverse talent through innovative sourcing and outreach and ensure robust governance and compliance. Using data and market insight, you will continually enhance recruitment outcomes, candidate experience and value for money.

This is a 12 month maternity cover until Jan 2028.

About us

We are a social housing landlord and one of the largest housing providers in the region with over 22,000 social and affordable homes, mainly in the Bradford district. We employ a talented workforce of nearly 1,000 people.

In 2024 we’ve launched our five-year Corporate Strategy, which runs to 2029. Our purpose is to provide high quality homes, services, and support to our customers, so we’ve worked with colleagues and customers to find out what’s important to them. Our customers sit at the heart of what we do, and our colleagues are the people who’ll help us achieve our vision, which is to create the best customer experience to improve everyday lives.

Duties include but not limited to:

  • Lead the end-to-end recruitment service across designated business areas, from vacancy planning and role design through attraction, selection, offer and onboarding handover.
  • Partner with hiring managers and People Partners to understand workforce needs, challenge assumptions and agree proportionate recruitment plans.
  • Advise on labour-market conditions, candidate availability, recruitment routes and realistic timescales.
  • Act as the escalation point for complex, senior, sensitive and hard-to-fill recruitment.
  • Design tailored attraction and sourcing strategies for routine, specialist, senior and hard-to-fill roles.
  • Build relationships with Jobcentre Plus, community organisations, schools, colleges, universities and employability partners.
  • Use candidate data and feedback to identify barriers and improve representation and inclusion.
  • Build talent pipelines using direct sourcing, professional networks, job boards, social media and sector relationships.
  • Work with the EDI lead to translate the EDI Strategy into inclusive attraction, outreach and selection activity.
  • Coach managers on shortlisting, interviewing, assessment, inclusive decision-making and candidate experience.
  • Set clear standards for candidate and hiring manager experience, ensuring recruitment is timely, well communicated, inclusive and professionally delivered from initial contact through to onboarding handover.
  • Own the recruitment governance framework and ensure activity complies with policy, data protection requirements and relevant employment legislation.
  • Oversee pre-employment checks completed by People Assistants, including DBS where required, right to work, references and other role-specific clearances.
  • Use insight and feedback to improve attraction, selection, candidate experience, manager practice and value for money.
  • Monitor candidate and hiring manager satisfaction alongside operational measures, using feedback and insight to strengthen the employer brand and improve the recruitment journey.
  • Provide day-to-day direction, coaching and quality assurance to the Talent Acquisition Officer.

Requirements

  • Significant experience delivering end-to-end recruitment across varied role types and levels.
  • Ability to influence and constructively challenge managers and senior stakeholders.
  • Experience partnering with managers on role design, attraction and selection.
  • Direct sourcing and hard-to-fill recruitment.
  • Experience improving recruitment services, processes or systems.
  • Knowledge of workforce planning, role design, establishment control and organisational change.
  • Sound knowledge of inclusive recruitment, equality principles and ways to reduce bias and barriers.
  • Strong campaign management, direct sourcing, interviewing and assessment skills.
  • Experience applying inclusive recruitment practice and supporting diverse attraction.
  • Ability to analyse recruitment data and turn insight into action.
  • 2 days in the office weekly - BD17 7BN.
  • Right to work in the UK - Visa sponsorship is not available.

Benefits

  • Salary of £52,746 per year
  • Social Housing Pension Scheme with up-to 10% employer contribution
  • 28 days annual leave that increases with service plus bank holidays
  • Option to buy and sell annual leave
  • Training, development, and qualification opportunities
  • Our Hub: our wellbeing and benefits site, with exclusive access to discounts and savings (at over 800 retailers)
  • Corporate health scheme membership
  • Access to an Employee Assistance Programme

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.

What if my background isn't good enough?

We make the most of the background you have. The CV uses every piece of relevant proof your profile holds, and one of the 25 readers reads your whole profile and flags what the CV left out.

Do you really apply for me?

Yes, on the employer's own form, the hardest ones included. Where a question needs you, you answer it right there and AI suggests the best answer. Don't want us applying from our IP addresses? Use our Chrome extension: we apply straight from your own browser.

Is it a subscription?
