Job Description – Hyperion Essbase Consultant

Job Title: Hyperion Essbase Consultant

Experience: 7-10 Years

Location: Kolkata

Employment Type: Full-Time

Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced Hyperion Essbase professional with strong expertise in OLAP cube design, multidimensional database development, financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, and reporting solutions. The candidate should have hands-on experience in both development and administration of Hyperion Essbase and Planning applications.

The ideal candidate should possess strong technical knowledge in Essbase Administration Services (EAS), calculation scripts, MaxL scripting, report scripts, data load automation, performance tuning, and production support activities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and maintain Essbase cubes and multidimensional databases
  • Develop and support Hyperion Planning and Essbase applications
  • Create and maintain calculation scripts, MaxL scripts, and report scripts
  • Perform data load automation and integration from multiple enterprise systems
  • Manage Essbase Administration Services (EAS) activities
  • Monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize Essbase application performance
  • Handle user management, security setup, backup, migration, and deployment activities
  • Support budgeting, forecasting, financial planning, and reporting processes
  • Work closely with business stakeholders and finance teams to gather requirements and provide technical solutions
  • Provide production support and resolve application issues within defined timelines
  • Ensure system stability, scalability, and performance optimization

Required Skills

  • Strong experience in Oracle Hyperion Essbase
  • Hands-on experience with Oracle Hyperion Planning
  • Expertise in:OLAP cube design Multidimensional database development Calculation Scripts MaxL scripting Report Scripts EAS (Essbase Administration Services) Data load automation Performance tuning
  • Experience in financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting applications
  • Strong troubleshooting and production support experience
  • Good understanding of application administration and security management
  • Experience integrating data from enterprise systems
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills

Preferred Skills

  • Experience in Oracle EPM environment
  • Knowledge of Smart View and financial reporting tools
  • Exposure to cloud-based EPM solutions is an added advantage
