The posting

(Day shift) @ Jurong Port

Rigger Job Scope The Rigger is primarily responsible for physically securingand preparing the cargo on the ground or on the vessel before it is lifted.

  • Load Assessment: Evaluates the weight, dimensions, and center of gravity of heavy machinery, steel, or bulk items to prevent shifting.
  • Rigging & Slings: Selects appropriate lifting gear (wire ropes, shackles, or web slings) and ensures the load does not exceed the Safe Working Load (SWL).
  • Cargo Protection: Applies necessary paddings to sharp edges of the cargo to prevent damage to both the cargo and the slings during tension.
  • Tagline Control: Connects and handles taglines to manually guide and stabilize the cargo, keeping it from spinning out of control.
  • Equipment Checks: Conducts pre-operation inspections of lifting gears and immediately reports any worn-out ropes or defects to the Lifting Supervisor

Signalman Job Scope The Signalman acts as the "eyes and ears" managingthe safe transit of the load through clear communication.

  • Pre-Lift Verification: Confirms with the Rigger that the cargo is stable, balanced, and ready for full execution before initiating any movement.
  • Clearance Management: Ensures that all ground personnel are well clear of the "line of fire" (hazardous zones under or near the load path) before signaling.
  • Maneuver Signaling: Uses standard hand signals (12 standard variations) or voice radio commands (16 standard voice signals) to guide the crane operator precisely into position.
  • Positioning: Positions themselves strategically on the wharf or vessel so they retain an unobstructed line of sight with both the load path and the crane cabin.
  • Strict Role Separation: Refrains completely from handling or rigging cargo while giving signals to avoid distraction.

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.
