The posting

iNFINITUM is a client-oriented organization that continuously evolves. Our team consistently extends its capabilities to meet exact needs based on specific business requirements, with customers coming from a wide range of industry sectors.

At iNFINITUM, our success depends on our people, productivity, and procedures. We believe that the continuous success of our projects depends upon the outstanding performance of our highly skilled and trained staff. Providing access to modern professional training designed in line with real-world challenges is paramount to that success.

We are looking for an experienced and passionate OpenShift & Ansible Automation Engineer to join our Infrastructure & Cloud Operations team.

In this role, you will be responsible for the architectural design, administration, scaling, and security of our Red Hat OpenShift Container Platform (OCP) clusters, ensuring high availability and seamless application migration. Additionally, you will drive infrastructure automation across the organization using the Ansible Automation Platform, transforming repetitive manual operations into reusable, reliable playbooks while maintaining stability and security across our IT environment.

Key Responsibilities

OpenShift Engineering & Administration

  • Cluster Design & Architecture: Analyze requirements to size nodes (worker & infra), evaluate storage options, define authentication methods, and integrate appropriate load balancers.
  • Cluster Scaling & Capacity Management: Manage cluster capacity and scaling, optimize workload placement, and evaluate performance impact.
  • Upgrades & Patching: Research and analyze new Red Hat OCP releases, conduct impact assessments, and execute seamless cluster upgrades and routine patching.
  • Logging & Monitoring Solutions: Configure ClusterLogForwarder to securely forward audit, infrastructure, and application logs to external logging platforms (e.g., Splunk) as per Red Hat best practices.
  • Registry & Namespace Administration: Manage container registries for cluster and application images. Maintain namespaces/projects, configure ResourceQuotas, LimitRanges, and project templates.
  • Security & Governance: Define ACLs, Network Policies, and enforce least-privilege RBAC for users and Service Accounts. Harden clusters using the Compliance Operator and integrate image security scanning (e.g., Aqua, JFrog Xray).
  • Developer Experience & Migration: Collaborate closely with development teams to migrate applications to OpenShift, provide Helm charts, and assist with Kubernetes resource definitions (Pods, Services, PVCs, Network Policies).

Ansible Automation & Orchestration

  • Automation Development: Design, build, and refine Ansible Playbooks, Roles, Templates, and Variables for software installation, configuration management, patching, and user provisioning.
  • Platform & Inventory Management: Maintain Ansible Automation Platform (AAP) / AWX environments, managing job templates, workflows, credentials, execution environments, and dynamic/static inventories.
  • Quality Assurance & Testing: Perform syntax checks, playbook linting, and utilize Ansible’s check mode to validate changes on non-production hosts prior to rollout.
  • Version Control & Operational Improvement: Manage automation code via Git, lead code reviews, and partner with Systems, Network, Security, and Application teams to standardize processes and eliminate configuration drift.

Requirements

Must-Have Experience & Skills:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related technical field.
  • 3+ years of hands-on experience in administering and designing Red Hat OpenShift Container Platform (OCP) & Kubernetes environments.
  • Strong experience with Ansible / Ansible Automation Platform (AWX) for configuration management and infrastructure automation (YAML, Playbooks, Roles).
  • Deep understanding of Kubernetes/OpenShift networking concepts (Ingress, CNI, Services, Network Policies, Load Balancers).
  • Experience integrating external logging platforms (e.g., Splunk, ELK) and managing container registries.
  • Proficiency with version control systems (Git) and CI/CD / GitOps tooling (Helm, ArgoCD).
  • Solid grasp of container security practices (RBAC, Image Scanning, Compliance Operators).
  • Strong background in Linux/Unix administration and shell scripting (Bash, Python).

Nice-to-Have / Certifications:

  • Red Hat Certified Specialist in OpenShift Administration (EX280) or Red Hat Certified Specialist in Ansible Automation (EX294).
  • Hands-on experience with public cloud providers (AWS, Azure, GCP).

Soft Skills & Working Style

  • Excellent analytical, troubleshooting, and root-cause analysis skills.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to bridge technical conversations between Developers, SysAdmins, and Security teams.
  • Proactive mindset focused on continuous improvement, standardization, and automating manual workloads.

Benefits

  • Friendly and Dynamic Working Environment.
  • Competitive Remuneration package directly dependent on the candidate's qualifications and experience.
  • Opportunities for Continuous Learning of state-of-the-art technology and career development.
  • Private Health and Medical Cover.
  • Work-Life Balance initiatives.
  • The opportunity to work in a diverse environment with talented colleagues
  • Hybrid Work Model

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.
