Senior Account Manager – International.

About Incisive Health

Incisive Health is an award-winning healthcare policy, public affairs and communications consultancy operating across the UK, Europe and International markets. We design and deliver programmes that shape policy, influence decision-making and, ultimately, improve the lives of people living with different conditions. Our work supports clients to navigate complex policy environments and achieve meaningful change for populations worldwide.

We are part of Inizio, a global partner to the life sciences industry. Inizio brings together over 10,000 experts across clinical development and commercialisation, supporting many of the world’s leading life sciences organisations. Together, we help organisations accelerate the journey from innovation to patient access – anticipating challenges, reducing barriers and ensuring that life-changing treatments reach the people who need them most.

The International health policy team works with global and regional healthcare organisations to support global policy landscaping, policy and public affairs strategy and engagement, policy research and report writing, advocacy coalition building and policy capability development. We deliver the results that matter for our clients and – ultimately – for the patients they serve.

About you

You have a passion for global health policy, politics and public affairs, having studied international relations or global public health and worked on regional or international projects in a health policy team. You are curious about the issues and forces that drive health policy change across the world and like learning about new diseases in different geographies. You will bring:

  • Experience in healthcare policy, public affairs or communications, ideally within a consultancy, agency, healthcare organisation or related environment
  • Knowledge of international health policy and stakeholder landscapes
  • Strong research, analytical and written communication skills, with the ability to synthesise complex information into clear recommendations
  • Excellent project management and organisational skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously while maintaining high attention to detail
  • Experience managing client relationships and delivering high-quality work in a fast-paced environment

What’s the job?

As a Senior Account Manager, you will be an essential part of a team working with clients across a wide range of issues and challenges. Our clients are diverse, ranging from global health organisations to global pharmaceutical companies, but they are united by the shared aim of improving the lives of patients and populations around the world.

The broad scope of our clients’ interests means that no two days are the same – from day one you will be hands-on in helping to deliver a wide range of projects, involving anything from organising a side event at the World Health Summit, to supporting a global healthcare company develop their strategy to reduce inequalities in treatment access.

You will be responsible for:

Client delivery & account management

  • Managing the day-to-day operations of client projects on your accounts, ensuring work is delivered on time, on budget and to a consistently high standard across multiple concurrent programmes
  • Coordinating meetings, workshops, events and stakeholder engagement activities across international programmes
  • Driving the development and review of high-quality client materials, including briefings, reports, stakeholder maps, policy analyses, messaging documents and engagement materials
  • Building strong working relationships with clients and serving as a trusted day-to-day point of contact

Policy insight & strategic support

  • Keeping abreast of all major policy and political developments through news and political feed monitoring and proactively sharing them with the wider team
  • Providing rapid alerts to internal teams and clients about monitoring items of interest, and coordinating with junior members of the team to do so
  • Supporting the development of policy, public affairs and advocacy strategies, including stakeholder engagement plans and narrative development

Business development & growth

  • Supporting the development of materials for new business purposes, through research, insight generation, proposal development and pitch participation
  • Finding opportunities for organic account growth and making recommendations to senior colleagues
  • Supporting networking and relationship-building activities to generate market intelligence and business opportunities

Team & culture contribution

  • Contributing to internal initiatives including diversity, equity and inclusion, wellbeing, knowledge sharing and learning programmes
  • Acting as a positive role model within the team, supporting a collaborative, inclusive and high-performing culture
  • Delegating effectively to junior colleagues, providing oversight, coaching and quality assurance
  • Taking ownership of your professional development and actively seeking opportunities to broaden your expertise

Development & progression

We are committed to helping our people grow as quickly and as far as their ambition takes them.

You will benefit from:

  • Structured training programmes and a personal development budget
  • Regular learning opportunities from internal and external experts
  • Close mentorship from senior colleagues with extensive experience across UK and global health policy
  • Opportunities to take increasing ownership of client relationships and strategic programmes
  • Exposure to a diverse portfolio of clients, therapeutic areas and healthcare systems

Our inclusive and supportive culture prioritises wellbeing, with access to peer networks, DEI initiatives and mental health support.

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.
