Under general supervision of the Accounts Payable Supervisor, responsible for supporting the companies accounts payable activities. The associate will perform assigned tasks and resolve issues timely.

Responsibilites:

  • Performs daily accounts payable activities such as maintenance of the general ledger and preparation of various accounting statements and financial reports.
  • Responsible for completing all tasks following standard operating procedures as required.
  • Makes calls to vendors to clarify any questionable invoice items, prices or signatures; calls intercompany department for proper information or data regarding invoice payments as needed.
  • Facilitates the payment process by ensuring all required documentation is accompanied with the payment request.
  • Takes phone calls and responds to any questions from departments or vendors as it relates to invoice payments.
  • Maintains frequent contact with internal and external customers to address any payment issues.
  • Assist with reporting on Key Performance Indicators for Senior Leadership presentations.
  • May assist other team members Accounts Payable Lead Team in departmental initiatives.

Work Experience:

  • Requires general knowledge of business administration, accountancy, sales, marketing, computer sciences or similar vocations generally obtained through a combination of work experience and completion of relevant college courses.

Skills and Knowledge:

  • Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing Knowledge of general accounting principles.
  • Strong interpersonal skills

  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office, Word, Excel and PowerPoint.

Salary: 2400 - 3500 EUR gross monthly

High School Diploma/GED or equivalent experience required. Associate's degree in finance, accounting, or a related field, or equivalent experience preferred.

3+ years of experience in cash application, credit and collections, contracts and chargebacks, or a related field required.

Credit Business Associate (CBA), Certified Bookkeeper (CB), or equivalent certification preferred.

Ability to meet strict deadlines and complete work accurately. Good verbal and written communication and presentation skills. Strong interpersonal and leadership skills. Strong mathematical and analytical skills. Ability to multitask in a fast-paced, high-volume, transactional environment. Effective problem-solving and critical thinking skills. Ability to resolve cash posting issues quickly and creatively. Advanced knowledge of banking procedures and fundamental accounting principles. Detailed knowledge of the accounts receivable and cash application process. Experience operating in multiple software and ERP systems. Proficiency in 10-key data entry. Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications. Ability to handle confidential information. Working knowledge of processing cash for various payment types.
