About Inspira Education

Inspira Education Group is one of the fastest-growing edtech startups in the US. We started with a simple mission to democratize access to high-quality coaching so that every student in the world has an equal opportunity to access the best opportunities.

As the world’s leading network of top admissions coaches in medical, legal, business, and college studies, we’re building software and services in one place—disrupting long-entrenched application processes with products and experiences that strive to provide an equal platform for candidates from diverse backgrounds worldwide.

As one of the fastest-growing edtech firms in the world, we are backed by some of the leading venture capital firms and investors in the world, including Zeev Ventures, Quiet Capital, Craft Ventures and Jeff Fluhr (Founder of Stubhub).

The Role

We’re looking for a Junior Content Editor to help keep everything we publish accurate, clear, and polished. You’ll work alongside our senior editors, SEO team, writers, and subject-matter experts to take drafts from rough to publish-ready across our blogs, guides, and marketing content.

This is a great fit if you have a sharp eye for detail, love making sentences better, and want to grow into a more strategic editorial role. You’ll learn how content gets found and cited by search engines and AI tools, and you’ll build real skills in editorial process, style, and feedback.

Please note: This role is open to candidates based remotely in Canada.

What You’ll Do

Edit for quality

  • Catch spelling, grammar, factual, and formatting errors before content goes live.
  • Rewrite passive constructions into active voice and replace jargon with plain language.
  • Tighten wordy sentences without losing the point.
  • Check that headings are logical and accurately reflect the content beneath them.
  • Verify stats, claims, and quotes against primary sources, and flag anything unverified.

Apply our style guide

  • Apply Inspira’s house style consistently across punctuation, capitalization, formatting, and tone.
  • Flag style deviations for writers rather than silently fixing them, so they learn the rules over time.
  • Suggest updates to the style guide as you spot patterns or gaps.

Edit for search and AI discoverability

  • Make sure each section leads with its main point rather than burying the answer.
  • Help break content into clear, self-contained sections that answer a specific question.
  • Spot forced keywords or unnatural phrasing, and make the writing read naturally for people first.
  • Check that link text is descriptive and specific (no “click here”).
  • Follow our SEO and Generative Engine Optimization (GEO) guidelines as you edit.

Support the editorial workflow

  • Keep multiple pieces moving through briefs, review stages, and approvals on deadline.
  • Give writers clear, constructive feedback that explains the reason behind each change.
  • Work with coaches and subject-matter experts to clarify and strengthen their drafts.
  • Help document and improve our editorial processes as we scale.

What We’re Looking For

Required

  • 2–3 years of professional editing or copyediting experience (digital publishing, content marketing, agency, or similar).
  • Excellent command of grammar, punctuation, and style, plus the judgment to know when a rule should flex.
  • A sharp eye for detail and a commitment to catching errors before they ship.
  • Ability to give kind, specific, actionable feedback to writers.
  • Comfort working with subject-matter experts and non-professional writers.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to juggle multiple projects and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Familiarity with SEO fundamentals (search intent, on-page best practices) and curiosity about how AI-driven search is changing content.
  • A portfolio or a few before/after editing samples you can walk us through.
  • Based remotely in Canada

Nice to have

  • Experience with style guides, whether using or contributing to one.
  • Experience editing for admissions, higher education, or other high-stakes audiences.
  • Familiarity with a CMS (WordPress, Webflow, or similar) and tools like Google Docs, Notion, or Asana.
  • Basic understanding of Generative Engine Optimization (GEO).

Why you'll love Inspira

  • Amazing people with a great vision and values
  • Mission-driven team culture focused on student success
  • Your work directly impacts the lives and careers of students across the globe
  • Health, dental, and vision insurance, base plans 100% employer paid
  • Pre-tax benefits (HSA, FSA, DCFSA, Commuter)
  • Flexible paid time off (PTO) and paid holidays
  • 401(k) with company match

The total compensation for this role is $55,000. Actual salary is dependent upon several factors, including the applicant's experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well geographic location. The pay ratio between base pay and target incentive will be finalized at the offer. The pay range is subject to the discretion of the Company.

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.

What if my background isn't good enough?

We make the most of the background you have. The CV uses every piece of relevant proof your profile holds, and one of the 25 readers reads your whole profile and flags what the CV left out.

Do you really apply for me?

Yes, on the employer's own form, the hardest ones included. Where a question needs you, you answer it right there and AI suggests the best answer. Don't want us applying from our IP addresses? Use our Chrome extension: we apply straight from your own browser.

Is it a subscription?

No. You pay once per CV, from $25. Every application goes out with its own CV, written for that posting.
