Why this role is on the menu

We’re hiring an Associate Manager, Influencer Marketing to build and scale a network of culturally relevant creators who can bring Instacart’s brand to life through ongoing, creator-led storytelling.

This role will help us remain relevant in the moments that matter, create a consistent pipeline of engaging social content, and unlock creator opportunities across Brand Marketing, Organic Social, Product Marketing, and our broader commercial ecosystem. By building lasting relationships, repeatable processes, and a more effective approach to creator partnerships, this person will help Instacart strengthen its presence across social, extend the impact of our marketing, and create a more sustainable engine for engaging consumers year-round.

Twelve months from now, this person will have helped establish a deeper bench of trusted creator relationships, a reliable pipeline of high-quality creator-led content, and a more scalable approach to activating talent across the business with clear learnings on how creator partnerships can contribute to brand and marketing objectives.

This is a remote-based role reporting to the Senior Manager, Influencer Marketing.

What you'll cook up in your first year

This is an exciting opportunity to build a scalable, always-on creator ecosystem that strengthens Instacart’s cultural relevance, extends our brand storytelling, and creates a consistent source of engaging content and creator partnerships for teams across the business.

  • Build a scalable, always-on creator engine: Establish and manage a consistent pipeline of 6–12 creator partnerships per month, creating a reliable cadence of culturally relevant content across Instagram, TikTok, YouTube Shorts, and emerging platforms and formats.
  • Bring an established network and grow strong creator relationships: Come into the role with trusted relationships across creators, talent managers, agents, and influencer agencies, and continue expanding that network to give Instacart stronger access to established and emerging talent, more effective negotiations, and long-term partnership opportunities.
  • Deliver creator partnerships efficiently and responsibly: Own creator budgets, negotiations, contracting, usage rights, exclusivity, and performance tracking, ensuring programs launch on time, stay within budget, and deliver against defined goals. Establish clear measurement and reporting practices, using performance insights to understand what resonates, optimize future partnerships, and improve the effectiveness of creator investments over time.
  • Make creators a stronger resource across the business: Become a trusted creator partner to Brand Marketing, Organic Social, Product Marketing, CPG Co-Marketing, Retail Marketing, Legal, and other cross-functional teams, helping identify the right talent and creator opportunities for campaigns, product launches, partnerships, and experiential moments.
  • Keep Instacart ahead of creator culture: Proactively identify emerging talent, formats, platforms, and cultural opportunities, using performance data, audience insights, and social trends to continuously evolve how Instacart works with creators and shows up in culture.

How You’ll Spend Your Time:

  • 80% Always-On Creator Partnerships: ongoing relationship management, content collaboration, organic and paid content pipeline, giveaways, organic social initiatives
  • 10% Trend Spotting: Emerging creator culture analysis, platform trend forecasting, identifying new creators and formats, social trends. Translate these insights into timely partnership opportunities and creative ideas that strengthen brand relevance and help Instacart participate in conversations that matter to our audiences.
  • 10% Experiential Support: support the creator components of experiential programs throughout the calendar year

The secret ingredients we're looking for

  • You live and breathe creator culture. You’re chronically online in the best way and genuinely curious about pop culture, emerging social trends, internet conversations, and the creators shaping culture. You have a strong instinct for spotting talent before everyone else does.
  • You’re a relationship builder. You know the creator ecosystem and have strong relationships with creators, talent managers, agents, agencies, and industry partners. You know how to build trust, maintain relationships, and turn connections into meaningful, repeatable opportunities for the brand.
  • You know how to get a deal done. You’re comfortable navigating creator rates, negotiations, deliverables, usage, exclusivity, and budgets, and can find smart solutions that work for both the creator and the brand while maximizing the value of each partnership.
  • You’re an operator at heart. You can take a fast-moving project from idea to launch, bringing structure to ambiguity, staying ahead of deadlines, and managing multiple creators and workstreams without letting details fall through the cracks. You enjoy building processes that make great work easier to execute and scale.
  • You communicate before someone has to ask. You proactively share updates, manage up, flag risks early, close loops, and make sure partners always understand where things stand and what happens next.
  • You understand the bigger picture. You see creators as more than a channel and understand how the right talent and ideas can strengthen brand storytelling, cultural relevance, audience engagement, and broader marketing objectives. You can connect the right creator opportunity to the business goal it is meant to support.
  • You thrive in the pace of culture. You’re comfortable moving quickly, adapting when plans change, and collaborating across Social, Brand, Creative, Legal, and other teams to turn timely opportunities into great work that delivers value for both audiences and the business.

Must-have pantry staples (minimum requirement)

  • 5–6 years of experience in influencer marketing, creator partnerships, social media, experiential, or a related marketing discipline.
  • Demonstrated experience independently managing creator partnerships or campaigns from talent identification and outreach through negotiation, contracting, content development, launch, and reporting.
  • Strong knowledge of the creator and social landscape across TikTok, Instagram, YouTube, and emerging platforms.
  • Experience negotiating creator partnerships and managing budgets, rates, deliverables, usage rights, and exclusivity.
  • Established relationships across the creator ecosystem, including creators, talent managers, agents, and/or influencer agencies.
  • Strong project management and organizational skills, with experience managing multiple creators, timelines, budgets, and deliverables simultaneously.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with demonstrated ability to proactively manage stakeholders and work cross-functionally.

Optional garnishes (preferred experience)

  • Experience with creator management, measurement, or social intelligence platforms such as Dash Social.
  • Familiarity with affiliate marketing and how creator partnerships can support performance and commerce objectives.
  • Experience supporting creator partnerships tied to experiential activations, events, or cultural moments.
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent.

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.
