Overview

About the Role: We're looking for a Senior Product Manager to shape how some of the world's largest retailers manage and grow their digital businesses on Instacart.

You'll own Retailer App as a platform, building a consumer-grade experience where retailers can easily manage their storefronts, discover and adopt new capabilities, and take greater control of their businesses. You'll also build the foundations that enable product teams across Instacart to deliver great retailer experiences quickly, consistently, and safely.

In parallel, you'll own Analytics & Insights, one of Retailer App's core products, transforming retailer data into actionable insights that help retailers grow.

Across both areas, you'll set a compelling multi-half product vision and strategy, translating customer needs into differentiated products and measurable outcomes. You'll be expected to operate with exceptional ownership and velocity, driving complex initiatives from ambiguity to launch, aligning teams across Product, Design, Engineering, and Data, and working directly with leading enterprise retailers to uncover needs and deliver scalable solutions.

This role offers a unique combination of platform-wide influence, end-to-end product ownership, and direct business impact — with the opportunity to define the next generation of retailer tools.

About the Team - Instacart’s Enterprise Platform team is responsible for the white-label product that enables retailers of all sizes to compete online through their own ecommerce experiences. The team is focused on platform growth and long-term retailer success — from onboarding new partners to helping them acquire, serve, and retain their end customers in ways that align with their unique brand and strategy.

About the Job

Retailer App Platform — Build a consumer-grade retailer experience

  • Build a consumer-grade experience: Make Retailer App intuitive, cohesive, and delightful, with seamless navigation, personalized homepages, and end-to-end workflows that make it effortless for retailers to get their jobs done.
  • Drive feature discovery and adoption: Surface and merchandise the growing suite of Storefront Pro capabilities so retailers can easily discover valuable features, understand their benefits, and adopt or upgrade to unlock more value.
  • Empower retailers through self-service: Build intuitive self-service experiences that allow retailers to explore, configure, and manage their storefront capabilities with greater flexibility, transparency, and control.
  • Enable teams to build fast and safely: Establish reusable components, templates, common UX patterns, and governance frameworks that help product teams ship high-quality, consistent retailer experiences with speed and confidence.
  • Own the end-to-end experience: Set the vision and standards for Retailer App across product teams, ensuring individual features come together into one coherent, exceptional experience rather than a collection of disconnected tools.

Analytics & Insights — Turn retailer data into growth

  • Make performance understandable: Build intuitive analytics experiences that give retailers visibility into their commerce, content, and product performance, helping them understand what's happening and why.
  • Turn data into actionable insights: Move beyond traditional dashboards to deliver personalized, data-backed recommendations that surface the most valuable opportunities to grow.
  • Connect insights to action: Enable retailers to act directly on recommendations through streamlined workflows, automation, and AI-powered capabilities.
  • Shape the future of retailer intelligence: Build toward a proactive, intelligent experience that continuously helps retailers identify opportunities, optimize their businesses, and measure impact.

Product Leadership, Execution & Collaboration

  • Set product direction: Define a compelling multi-half vision and strategy, translating customer needs and emerging technologies into a pragmatic roadmap with measurable outcomes.
  • Execute with speed and ownership: Independently drive complex initiatives from ambiguity to launch, making smart tradeoffs and delivering high-quality products with exceptional throughput.
  • Lead across teams: Influence and align a broad set of cross-functional stakeholders, navigating competing priorities and driving decisions without direct authority.
  • Build in deep partnership: Work closely with Design, Engineering, Data, and other product teams to deliver cohesive experiences across a complex platform.
  • Stay close to customers: Engage directly with leading enterprise retailers to uncover needs, validate solutions, and turn complex requirements into scalable products.

About You

Minimum Qualifications

  • 8+ years of B2B product management experience, including 2+ years building platform products.
  • Exceptional product craft and UX judgment: Strong intuition for creating intuitive, elegant experiences that simplify complex customer workflows.
  • Strong platform product thinking: Experience building scalable platforms, shared capabilities, and frameworks that enable multiple teams to deliver products efficiently and consistently.
  • Exceptional ownership and execution: Proven ability to independently set direction, navigate ambiguity, make high-quality decisions, and ship complex products at high velocity.
  • Cross-functional leadership: Ability to influence teams without direct authority, align stakeholders with competing priorities, and drive decisions across a broad product surface.
  • Customer-centric product strategy: Ability to deeply understand customer problems and translate them into differentiated, scalable solutions.
  • Strong analytical and communication skills: Fluent in quantitative and qualitative decision-making, with the ability to articulate compelling strategies and build trust with senior leaders and enterprise customers.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience building B2B SaaS platforms, enterprise applications, or products used to manage complex business workflows.

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.
