  • Den täglichen Betrieb des Diagnostiklabors in Bern koordinieren sowie Arbeitsabläufe und Personaleinsätze planen und optimieren
  • Virologische, molekularbiologische und serologische Analysen im Rahmen der Routine\- und Referenzdiagnostik selbstständig durchführen, auswerten und dokumentieren
  • Neue diagnostische Methoden entwickeln und validieren sowie bei angewandten Forschungsprojekten mitwirken
  • Die Einhaltung der Qualitätsmanagement\- und Biosicherheitsvorschriften sicherstellen und bei Audits mitwirken
  • Die Ausbildung von Lernenden organisieren und begleiten sowie Studierende, Praktikantinnen und Praktikanten fachlich betreuen
  • Bei Bedarf diagnostische Arbeiten im Hochsicherheitslabor in Mittelhäusern unterstützen und Notfalleinsätze leisten

Das macht Sie einzigartig

  • Abgeschlossene Ausbildung als Laborant/\-in EFZ Fachrichtung Biologie und mehrjähriger Berufserfahrung
  • Fundierte Kenntnisse in virologischen, immunologischen und molekularbiologischen Arbeitsmethoden sowie Erfahrung in der Methodenentwicklung und \-validierung
  • Erfahrung im akkreditierten Laborumfeld (ISO/IEC 17025\), idealerweise ergänzt durch Kenntnisse in der Berufsbildung
  • Ausgeprägtes Organisationsgeschick, selbstständige und verantwortungsbewusste Arbeitsweise sowie hohe Belastbarkeit und Teamfähigkeit
  • Kommunikationsstärke und Dienstleistungsorientierung sowie gute mündliche und schriftliche Deutsch\- und Englischkenntnisse

Sie übernehmen eine zentrale Koordinationsfunktion in unserem Diagnostiklabor in Bern und verbinden anspruchsvolle Laborarbeit mit organisatorischer Verantwortung. Mit Ihrem Fachwissen und Ihrem Engagement tragen Sie zur zuverlässigen Tierseuchendiagnostik bei, entwickeln diagnostische Methoden weiter und fördern die Ausbildung des wissenschaftlichen Nachwuchses.

Das Institut für Virologie und Immunologie IVI arbeitet an innovativen Lösungen zur Bekämpfung von viralen Tierseuchen und Zoonosen und stellt in Krisensituationen die Diagnostik sicher.

Tierseuchen, neu auftretende Krankheiten beim Tier und Infektionskrankheiten, die vom Tier auf den Menschen übertragen werden können (Zoonosen), stellen die Gesellschaft vor grosse Herausforderungen. Wir arbeiten interdisziplinär im Sinne von One Health, um nachhaltig zur Gesundheit von Mensch und Tier beizutragen.
