This is a unique opportunity to help shape the future of Insulet’s digital presence and play a key role in transforming how people with diabetes, caregivers, and healthcare professionals engage with the Omnipod brand. As Sr. Manager, Web/CMS Development, you will drive the modernization of Omnipod.com, delivering innovative, user-centered digital experiences that strengthen customer engagement, support business growth, and advance Insulet’s mission to improve the lives of those living with diabetes. Your leadership will influence a highly visible platform that serves as a critical connection between Insulet and the global diabetes community.

Insulet Corporation, maker of Omnipod, is the leader in tubeless insulin pumps. We are looking for a Sr. Software Engineering Manager to lead the redesign of our product website, Omnipod.com, using the Drupal Content Management System (CMS). This is a fast-paced environment working on challenging problems. Your work will impact the lives of people living with diabetes.

As a Sr. Manager, Web/CMS Development, you will lead and manage a team of skilled developers building digital experiences that support our customers, including people with diabetes, caregivers, and healthcare professionals. You will partner with multiple teams, including Marketing, Product Management, Quality Assurance, User Experience, Content Strategy, and CRM teams, to develop best-in-class web applications and content experiences. You will also help drive the adoption of modern front-end development practices, enterprise design systems, and AI-powered capabilities that improve content operations and customer engagement.

Responsibilities

  • Manage developers who are part of a Scrum team working within the Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe).
  • Maintain strong alignment and collaboration with your peer Web/CMS Development Manager responsible for other Drupal Scrum teams, and with your engineering Director and higher management.
  • Mentor and motivate software developers to deliver high-quality code using software engineering best practices, modern development patterns, and effective team collaboration.
  • Help team members define and track their goals and grow and develop in their careers.
  • Lead the team as they evaluate new technologies and explore solution alternatives, including developing prototypes.
  • Lead the architectural direction and implementation of Drupal front-end development, including component-based design, responsive user interfaces, accessibility, performance optimization, and integration with enterprise design systems.
  • Guide the evaluation and potential adoption of modern Drupal development practices, such as Single Directory Components (SDCs), Drupal Experience Builder, Storybook-driven development, reusable component libraries, and front-end testing frameworks.
  • Partner closely with User Experience (UX) and Design teams and with Enterprise Architecture to establish scalable design system governance and ensure consistent implementation across web properties.
  • Drive the evaluation and adoption of AI-powered capabilities within Drupal to improve content creation, personalization, search, content recommendations, and customer engagement, ensuring compliance with regulatory and brand requirements.
  • Establish analytics and monitoring for website usage, content quality, author productivity, moderation effectiveness, and overall digital experience performance.
  • Ensure websites and digital experiences adhere to accessibility standards (WCAG), privacy requirements, cybersecurity standards, and applicable healthcare industry regulations.
  • Learn and follow Insulet SOPs, including documentation, quality processes, validation activities, and change management procedures applicable to the websites and digital experiences the team supports.

Education and Experience

  • Bachelor's Degree or above in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Systems, or a related discipline.
  • 2+ years managing software development teams.
  • 10 years directly related work experience, including working at the lead level in Drupal front-end development.

Preferred Skills and Competencies

  • Strong understanding of Drupal CMS architecture and web application development, including Drupal 10/11, custom theming, content modeling, Layout Builder, and component-based development approaches.
  • Experience with Drupal front-end architecture patterns, including Single Directory Components (SDCs), Storybook, design systems, style guides, and reusable component libraries.
  • Experience with modern front-end technologies such as HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript/TypeScript, React, Vue.js, Lit, Web Components, or similar frameworks.
  • Experience building and governing enterprise design systems and reusable components across multiple web properties and digital platforms.
  • Experience developing responsive, accessible, and high-performance web applications, including adherence to WCAG accessibility standards and SEO best practices.
  • Experience with decoupled, headless, or hybrid Drupal architectures and integration patterns.
  • Experience evaluating and implementing AI technologies for digital experiences, including generative AI, large language models (LLMs), semantic search, personalization, recommendations, and conversational interfaces.
  • Understanding of responsible AI principles, including human review, transparency, governance, bias mitigation, content safety, and regulatory compliance.
  • Experience integrating CMS platforms with CRM, marketing automation, analytics, customer identity management, personalization, and digital experience platforms.
  • Experience leading Drupal development teams supporting large-scale digital platforms in healthcare, medical device, pharmaceutical, financial services, or similarly regulated industries.
  • Experience leveraging AI to improve content author productivity while maintaining governance, quality, compliance, and brand consistency.
  • Strong communication skills, including written, verbal, and presentation skills.
  • Strong interpersonal and leadership skills with a demonstrated ability to build, mentor, and develop high-performing teams.
  • Experience with privacy regulations, including HIPAA, GDPR, and other applicable data protection requirements.

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.
