The Role and Impact As a Manufacturing Quality and Reliability Engineer, you will play a key role in ensuring Intel's manufacturing ramps transition seamlessly to high-volume production while maintaining exceptional product quality and reliability standards. You will evaluate materials, processes, and testing mechanisms, conduct quality audits, and implement improvements that directly enhance Intel's ability to deliver cutting-edge technology solutions. Your contributions will foster a culture of continuous improvement and operational excellence, driving impact across manufacturing and customer satisfaction.
Business Group You will join Intel's Foundry manufacturing quality and reliability team, an organization dedicated to upholding world-class standards across Intel's manufacturing operations. Collaborating across product engineering, manufacturing, and supplier engagements, the team ensures Intel's products consistently meet rigorous quality requirements while supporting Intel's broader mission of delivering innovative solutions that shape the future of technology.
Key Responsibilities - Evaluate and qualify manufacturing ramps and processes to ensure compliance with quality and reliability standards. - Develop systems for early detection and containment of manufacturing excursions while conducting risk assessments. - Drive continuous process improvements and proactive quality programs in factories to promote a quality mindset. - Conduct quality assessments, audits, and analyze reliability data to identify opportunities for improvement. - Collaborate with product development teams to make recommendations for system, process, and product reliability enhancements. - Manage excursion containment, change control, and supplier audits, driving supplier continuous improvement initiatives. - Respond to customer-reported issues by providing engineering solutions to improve customer satisfaction and experience. - Extract insights from data using statistical techniques and machine learning to evaluate product and system compliance.

Qualifications:
You must possess the below minimum qualifications to be initially considered for this position. Preferred qualifications are in addition to the minimum requirements and are considered a plus factor in identifying top candidates.
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Material Engineering, other engineering, Physics or STEM related fields with 3+ years of experience (OR Masters or PhD degree in Electrical Engineering, Material Engineering, other engineering, Physics or STEM related fields with 1+ years' experience) in at least 4 of the below skills:
• Proficiency in statistical process control, excursion management processes, and manufacturing quality. • Complementary metal-oxide semiconductor (CMOS), device physics, and semiconductor processing techniques, Statistical Process Control (SPC). • Device/semiconductor physics and electrical characterization techniques and in areas pertaining to wafer fabrication. • Data extraction and analysis skills. • Quality & Reliability (QnR), Process, device, and product engineering experience. • Design of Experiments (DOE) principles and structured problem solving.
Preferred Qualifications
• Microprocessor architecture. • Data extraction and analysis skills (JMP, Crystal Ball, ILM, REL PCS, SQL, JSL Scripting). • Experiences in process startup, process certification, or reliability risk assessments related to the device front end process or back end reliability experience are preferred. • Hands-on IC fabrication experience is preferred.

Annual Salary Range for jobs which could be performed in the US: $120,860.00-170,630.00 USD
