Position Summary

Inteldot is seeking an experienced MES Technical Specialist to support the implementation and technical configuration of a Manufacturing Execution System (MES) at a leading Medical Devices manufacturing facility in Costa Rica.

This is a hands-on technical role focused on MES system configuration, troubleshooting, testing, and implementation support. The ideal candidate will have proven experience configuring MES platforms, preferably Siemens Opcenter Execution, within regulated manufacturing environments.

This position requires strong technical expertise and the ability to work directly with manufacturing, engineering, automation, and IT teams to support a successful MES implementation.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform hands-on MES system configuration, setup, and technical implementation activities.
  • Configure MES functionalities, manufacturing workflows, production processes, and system parameters based on business and operational requirements.
  • Support the configuration and implementation of electronic manufacturing records, process flows, and production execution functionalities.
  • Troubleshoot MES configuration issues, system errors, and technical problems during implementation.
  • Execute technical testing, system verification, and defect resolution activities.
  • Support MES integration activities with manufacturing equipment, automation systems, and other enterprise applications.
  • Collaborate with IT, Manufacturing Engineering, Automation, and Quality teams to translate operational requirements into MES configurations.
  • Prepare and maintain technical configuration documentation, test evidence, and implementation records.
  • Provide technical support during system deployment, commissioning, and stabilization activities.
  • Support implementation activities in compliance with applicable GMP and regulated manufacturing requirements.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, Automation, or a related technical field, or equivalent relevant experience.
  • Demonstrated hands-on experience in MES system configuration and technical implementation is required.
  • Experience configuring manufacturing workflows, system parameters, production processes, or related MES functionalities.
  • Strong troubleshooting, technical analysis, and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience supporting MES implementation, testing, deployment, or system integration activities.
  • Ability to interpret manufacturing requirements and translate them into technical system configurations.
  • Ability to work independently and collaborate with cross-functional technical teams.
  • Availability to work 100% onsite in Grecia, Costa Rica, throughout the six-month assignment.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous hands-on experience with Siemens Opcenter Execution MES (highly preferred).
  • Experience implementing or configuring MES platforms in Medical Devices, Pharmaceutical, or other regulated Life Sciences environments.
  • Knowledge of MES integration with ERP, SCADA, PLC, or manufacturing automation systems.
  • Familiarity with electronic batch records (EBR), electronic device history records (eDHR), and manufacturing traceability.
  • Experience with MES validation, including IQ/OQ/PQ and computerized system validation (CSV).
  • Knowledge of GMP, FDA 21 CFR Part 11, and applicable regulatory requirements.
  • Experience supporting MES go-live and hypercare activities.

Important Position Requirements

This is a technical execution position, not a project management or functional coordination role. Candidates must have direct, hands-on experience performing MES system configuration.

Experience with Siemens Opcenter is strongly preferred but not mandatory. Candidates with proven technical configuration experience on other MES platforms will also be considered.

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.
