¿Qué harás como cuidador(a) o asistente de cuidado en el hogar?

  • Brindar cuidado personal y apoyo a adultos mayores que viven en su propia casa.
  • Ayudar con las actividades diarias, como bañarse, vestirse, arreglarse, hacer tareas ligeras del hogar y preparar comidas, además de brindar compañía.
  • Ayudar a los clientes a caminar, levantarse, sentarse, cambiarse de lugar y realizar ejercicios de movilidad.
  • Recordarles cuándo deben tomar sus medicamentos, llevar un registro de cómo se encuentran y avisar a un supervisor si notas algún problema o cambio en su condición.
  • Mantener el hogar seguro y libre de obstáculos para evitar accidentes.
  • Participar en actividades que los hagan felices, como rompecabezas, juegos, lectura y otros pasatiempos.

Requisitos para el puesto

  • Diploma de preparatoria (high school) o equivalente.
  • Se prefiere tener al menos seis (6) meses de experiencia en el área de la salud o el cuidado de personas.
  • Aprobar la revisión de antecedentes y la prueba de drogas. No hacemos pruebas para detectar THC (marihuana).
  • Licencia de conducir válida de California, seguro de auto y transporte propio.
  • Tener paciencia, compasión y ganas de ayudar a los demás.
  • Saber comunicarse bien y poder levantar hasta 35 libras (aproximadamente 16 kilos).
