What You’ll Do as a TMA:
- Provide compassionate care and support to residents in nursing homes, assisted living facilities, and other healthcare settings.
- Safely administer medications according to physician orders, facility policies, and state regulations under the direction of a licensed nurse.
- Accurately document medication administration and report any concerns, refusals, errors, or changes in resident condition to the appropriate nurse.
- Monitor residents for changes in condition, medication effectiveness, and potential adverse reactions.
- Assist residents with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, grooming, eating, and mobility support, as needed.
- Take and record vital signs, blood glucose, intake/output, and other required information.
- Communicate effectively with nurses, healthcare professionals, residents, and families to promote quality care.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation while following all medication administration and safety procedures.
What We’re Looking For:
- Current Minnesota Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification and Trained Medication Aide (TMA) certification
- High school diploma (or equivalent)
- Six or more months of experience in a nursing facility
- Strong understanding of medication administration and documentation
- Strong communication skills and a compassionate, team-oriented mindset
- Ability to follow medication orders, facility policies, and nursing direction
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
