Join Interim HealthCare - Oxnard | Santa Monica | West LA as a Home Health Coordinator Eligibility & Authorization Specialist based in Pasadena, CA. In this role, you will play a critical part in ensuring patients receive timely and accurate authorization for home health services. You will coordinate with insurance providers, healthcare professionals, and patients to verify eligibility, obtain authorizations, and facilitate efficient patient care delivery.

Responsibilities

  • Verify patient eligibility and benefits with various insurance providers.
  • Obtain and track authorizations for home health services to ensure compliance and timely care.
  • Communicate effectively with healthcare professionals, insurance companies, and patients regarding authorization status.
  • Maintain accurate records of authorizations, denials, and appeals.
  • Collaborate with clinical and administrative teams to support patient care coordination.
  • Stay updated on insurance policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.

Requirements

  • Previous experience in healthcare authorization, insurance verification, or a related field.
  • Strong knowledge of insurance eligibility and authorization processes.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Proficiency with electronic medical records (EMR) and office software.
  • Attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
