Business Development Associate (Trainee Wealth Management)

Location: London, UK (Hybrid)

Salary: Competitive Basic Salary + Uncapped Commission (OTE: £40,000–£50,000 in Year One)

Our client is a well-established international financial services organisation seeking ambitious, commercially driven individuals to join its growing Business Development team in London.

This is an exceptional opportunity for someone looking to build a long-term career within wealth management. The successful candidate will follow a structured development programme with full sponsorship towards the CISI Level 4 Investment Advice Diploma, providing a clear pathway into a Private Wealth Adviser position within approximately 2–3 years.

The Opportunity

As a Business Development Associate, you will be responsible for identifying and engaging prospective high-net-worth and internationally connected clients, introducing the firm's wealth management services and arranging appointments for experienced Private Wealth Advisers.

This is a consultative business development role where your success will directly contribute to your future progression into an advisory career.

Key Responsibilities

  • Research and identify prospective clients through a variety of professional channels.
  • Develop new business opportunities via telephone, email and LinkedIn.
  • Introduce prospective clients to the firm's wealth management services.
  • Qualify opportunities and arrange meetings for experienced Private Wealth Advisers.
  • Build and maintain long-term professional relationships.
  • Work towards individual business development targets.
  • Study towards the CISI Level 4 Investment Advice Diploma, fully sponsored by the company.

About You

We're looking for motivated individuals who possess:

  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
  • A proactive and commercially minded approach.
  • Previous experience within sales, recruitment, business development or another target-driven environment (preferred).
  • Confidence speaking with senior professionals and high-net-worth individuals.
  • Strong research skills and experience using LinkedIn and other professional networking platforms.
  • An interest in financial markets, investing and wealth management.
  • The ambition to develop into a qualified Financial Adviser.
