Private Wealth Manager | International Wealth Management | Durban | High-Net-Worth Clients

Location: Durban, South Africa

Our client, a highly respected international wealth management firm, is looking to appoint an experienced Private Wealth Manager to join its expanding Durban team.

This is an exciting opportunity for an ambitious financial planning professional to work with high-net-worth individuals, business owners and internationally mobile clients, delivering holistic financial planning and bespoke wealth management solutions.

You'll advise clients across a broad range of financial planning disciplines while building long-term relationships and growing your own portfolio within a supportive and entrepreneurial environment.

The Opportunity

As a Private Wealth Manager, you'll provide comprehensive financial advice while identifying new opportunities to grow your client base through referrals, networking and professional relationship management.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Meeting prospective and existing clients to understand their financial goals and long-term objectives
  • Delivering holistic financial planning across investments, retirement planning, estate planning, wealth protection and offshore investment solutions
  • Conducting detailed financial reviews and portfolio analysis
  • Designing bespoke wealth management strategies aligned with each client's objectives and risk profile
  • Building and maintaining trusted, long-term client relationships through ongoing reviews and proactive servicing
  • Developing new business opportunities through networking, referrals and personal business development
  • Monitoring investment performance and recommending portfolio enhancements where appropriate
  • Keeping abreast of financial markets, legislation and industry developments
  • Delivering advice in accordance with all relevant regulatory and compliance requirements

About You

The successful candidate will have:

  • Previous experience as a Financial Adviser, Wealth Manager, Financial Planner or Private Banker
  • Strong technical knowledge of investments, retirement planning, wealth management and financial planning
  • Experience working with high-net-worth clients
  • Excellent relationship-building and communication skills
  • A proven ability to generate new business and develop long-term client relationships
  • A consultative and client-focused approach
  • Strong commercial awareness and business development ability
  • Relevant financial planning qualifications, with a commitment to continued professional development
