Our client is a highly respected boutique wealth management firm specialising in advising ultra-high-net-worth individuals, families and business owners with complex financial affairs.

Due to continued growth, they are seeking an experienced Senior Paraplanner to join their technical team in Alderley Edge. This is an outstanding opportunity to become part of a collaborative, client-focused business where technical excellence, professionalism and attention to detail are genuinely valued.

Working alongside an experienced team of Financial Planners, you will play a key role in delivering sophisticated financial planning solutions for clients with complex wealth structures, ensuring advice is technically robust, compliant and tailored to individual objectives.

The Opportunity

As a Senior Paraplanner, you will provide high-level technical support across all areas of holistic financial planning, helping advisers deliver exceptional client outcomes.

This is a client-centric role where quality takes priority over volume, offering exposure to complex planning strategies involving investments, pensions, tax planning, trusts, estate planning and business succession.

Key Responsibilities

  • Produce high-quality suitability reports and technical recommendations.
  • Conduct detailed research across investment, pension and protection solutions.
  • Prepare cashflow modelling and financial planning analysis.
  • Support advisers before, during and after client meetings where appropriate.
  • Analyse complex client circumstances and develop appropriate planning strategies.
  • Ensure advice remains compliant with FCA requirements and internal standards.
  • Liaise with providers, discretionary investment managers and professional introducers.
  • Mentor and support junior paraplanners where required.
  • Maintain accurate client records and technical documentation.
  • Contribute towards continuous improvement of technical processes and client delivery.

About You

To be successful you will possess:

  • Minimum 5 years' paraplanning experience within an Independent Financial Advice or Wealth Management environment.
  • Level 4 Diploma in Regulated Financial Planning (essential).
  • Progress towards Chartered status would be advantageous.
  • Strong technical knowledge across pensions, investments, tax planning, trusts and estate planning.
  • Experience supporting high-net-worth or ultra-high-net-worth clients.
  • Excellent report writing and analytical skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and organisational ability.
  • Confident communicating with advisers, clients and professional connections.
  • A proactive, solutions-focused mindset with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
