We believe in building strong teams, doing the right thing, and making a difference in the communities where we live. If you want to grow and do meaningful work, you’ll feel at home here.

Lead the flow. Grow the team. Shape what’s next.

At Interstates, supply chain is more than purchasing and logistics. It connects people, suppliers, materials, and manufacturing projects—and helps our teams deliver exceptional results for our clients.

As the Supply Chain Manager – Manufacturing, you’ll lead supply chain strategy for a manufacturing offer category while developing a strong, capable team. You’ll influence supplier performance, inventory planning, forecasting, sourcing, cost management, and project execution. Your decisions will have a direct impact on material availability, delivery reliability, team performance, and client satisfaction.

If you’re a strategic thinker who enjoys developing people, strengthening supplier partnerships, and turning complex supply chain challenges into practical solutions, we’d like to meet you.

What You’ll Do

Lead and Develop the Team

  • Set direction for your assigned Supply Chain Offer Category Team.
  • Provide leadership, coaching, and development to help team members achieve individual, team, and company goals.
  • Coordinate onboarding for new team members.
  • Conduct talent card and performance reviews.
  • Establish clear expectations and promote accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.

Drive Supply Chain Performance

  • Partner with offer category leaders, project managers, estimators, field leaders, and other internal teams.
  • Support inventory optimization, material availability, and efficient material flow.
  • Use forecasting and MRP processes to translate demand into supply and material requirements.
  • Monitor supplier performance, spend, pricing, delivery, and quality.
  • Strategically direct spend to supplier partners to improve value and business results.
  • Assist with contract negotiations, including pricing, schedules, and other commercial terms.
  • Oversee the offer category budget with support from the Director of Supply Chain.
  • Identify and evaluate suppliers that align with Interstates’ values, culture, and business needs.
  • Build ethical, productive relationships with internal and external partners.
  • Attend supplier and industry conferences to expand market knowledge and identify new opportunities.
  • Maintain confidentiality regarding projects, suppliers, business plans, and internal information.
  • Communicate clearly and adapt effectively as priorities and business needs change.

What Success Looks Like

In this role, success means you:

  • Build trust with the offer category team and key supplier partners.
  • Improve visibility into inventory, demand, and material requirements.
  • Strengthen supplier performance, delivery reliability, and cost effectiveness.
  • Develop team members and create a culture of accountability and growth.
  • Help ensure materials and supply chain deliverables support project and client commitments.
  • Identify practical improvements that make Interstates’ supply chain more effective and responsive.

What You’ll Bring

Required Qualifications

  • 2–3 years of related experience and/or training.
  • Experience with inventory management, including inventory levels, availability, and material flow.
  • Experience with MRP—Material Requirements Planning—processes and systems.
  • Experience with forecasting and translating demand into supply and material requirements.
  • Strong analytical, quantitative, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to read and understand instructions, emails, specifications, and contracts.
  • Sound judgment, attention to detail, and the ability to prioritize effectively.
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating successfully with others.
  • Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Word and Excel.
  • Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality.
  • Willingness to travel approximately 30%, with additional travel as business needs require.

Preferred Qualifications

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.
