We are seeking a Product Analyst, Enterprise Data Catalog to support the evolution and adoption of our Enterprise Data Catalog platform. This role will help manage and continuously improve the business-facing experience of the catalog, enabling users to discover, understand, and trust data across the organization.

As a member of the Data Governance Tools team, you will serve as the product manager for assigned areas of the catalog, partnering with business stakeholders to enhance user experience, support data governance processes, and improve self-service capabilities. You will help design and maintain workflows, support platform enhancements, analyze usage and adoption trends, and contribute to the overall modernization of the organization's data management capabilities.

Key Responsibilities

Product Ownership & Platform Management

  • Serve as the primary product analyst for designated domains, capabilities, or processes within the Enterprise Data Catalog.
  • Partner with business stakeholders to understand requirements and identify opportunities to improve catalog functionality and user experience.
  • Help define and prioritize product enhancements, workflow improvements, and platform capabilities.
  • Support release planning, testing, implementation, and adoption activities.

Workflow & Process Automation

  • Design, configure, test, and maintain catalog workflows that support business processes and governance requirements.
  • Partner with business and technology teams to streamline manual activities through workflow automation.
  • Document business requirements, process flows, user stories, and acceptance criteria.
  • Monitor workflow performance and identify opportunities for optimization.

Data Catalog & Governance Support

  • Maintain business metadata, data ownership information, data definitions, and related catalog content.
  • Assist with onboarding new data assets, business terms, reports, dashboards, and governance artifacts into the catalog.
  • Support implementation of governance processes related to data ownership, governance approvals, lineage, data quality, reporting inventories, and data products.
  • Ensure catalog content remains current, accurate, and aligned with governance standards.

Analytics & Continuous Improvement

  • Analyze platform adoption, utilization trends, workflow metrics, and user feedback.
  • Develop reports and dashboards that measure platform effectiveness and business value.
  • Identify opportunities to enhance user engagement and self-service capabilities.
  • Support training, communication, and user enablement activities.

Stakeholder Engagement

  • Collaborate with Data Stewards, Data Domain Owners, Business Analysts, Technology teams, and governance stakeholders.
  • Facilitate requirements gathering sessions and support product demonstrations.
  • Act as a trusted partner helping users navigate and leverage catalog capabilities effectively.

Qualifications

Required

  • Bachelor's degree in a data or business related field of study.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work across business and technology teams.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and data analysis tools.
  • Exposure to Collibra or similar data management platforms.
  • Familiarity with SQL, Tableau, Power BI, or similar analytics tools.
  • Banking experience

Preferred

  • Experience with data governance, metadata management, business glossaries, or data catalogs.
  • Experience with workflow tools, low-code platforms, or business process automation.
  • Experience working with Agile, Scrum, or product management methodologies.

Education:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a closely-related discipline, or an equivalent combination of formal education and experience

The typical base pay range for this role is as follows:

  • New York / New Jersey: $ 86-119K
  • Non–New York / New Jersey: $82-105 K

depending on job-related knowledge, skills, experience and location. This role may also be eligible for certain discretionary performance-based bonus and/or incentive compensation.
