Job Description:

SUMMARY OF THE POSITION

To develop compelling content and integrated employee engagement campaigns that help colleagues understand Ipsen’s strategy, connect with its culture and see the impact of the company’s work for patients. The role should be able to turn complex business, therapeutic-area and patient-impact topics into clear, human and engaging stories across internal channels.

Reporting to the Head of Global Employee Communication in the Corporate Communications team, the role works in close cooperation with Corporate Affairs, business functions, and country teams, notably across the Paris, Boston and London hubs, to create consistent yet locally relevant employee communications.

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Create high-quality editorial content for Ipsen’s global internal channels, translating complex business, therapeutic-area and patient-impact topics into clear, accurate and engaging stories. Deliverables may include intranet articles, leadership messages, event and townhall materials, executive speeches, scripts, videos and talking points.
  • Lead creative, integrated employee engagement campaigns on business priorities, therapeutic areas, patient impact, company culture and other strategic topics—from initial idea and narrative through editorial and channel planning, key messages, toolkits, assets and activation to measurement. Ensure a coherent employee journey and coordinate contributors, agencies and production partners as required.
  • Proactively mine and develop stories from across Ipsen, applying journalistic curiosity and working with subject-matter experts and communication colleagues to challenge briefs, shape the strongest angle, format and channel mix, and maintain a forward-looking editorial pipeline and calendar that balances priorities across channels.
  • Work with country and hub communication teams, particularly in Paris, Boston and London, to enable activation, encourage reuse and adapt content for local relevance.
  • Maintain a strong and consistent Ipsen tone of voice, editorial quality and visual identity across content, while ensuring appropriate review and approval processes.
  • Use channel insights, employee feedback and campaign measures to evaluate effectiveness, share learnings and continuously improve content and engagement.
  • Drive content innovation through new formats, creative approaches and AI-enabled ways of working that make content development and production more effective, modern and impactful.

KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCE

Knowledge & Experience (essential):

• Approximately 7 years required of professional experience in content, marketing, and public relations at either agency or in-house

• Demonstrated success developing editorial content and integrated campaigns for employee, corporate or brand audiences.

• Outstanding writing, editing and storytelling skills, with the ability to adapt tone, format and complexity for different audiences and channels.

• Strong creative judgement and the confidence to originate, pitch and develop ideas with senior stakeholders and cross-functional partners.

• Ability to manage several projects and stakeholders simultaneously, from brief and planning through review, production, publication and measurement.

• Strong interpersonal skills and internal stakeholder management

• High level of accuracy, judgement and discretion when handling sensitive or business-critical information.

Knowledge & Experience (preferred):

• Experience in a global, matrixed and multicultural organization.

• Experience commissioning or producing multimedia content and working with creative, video, design or digital agencies.

• Familiarity with internal communication channels and employee engagement measurement.

Education / Certifications (essential):

• Degree or equivalent professional experience in communications, journalism, marketing, languages or a related discipline.

Language(s) (essential):

• Full professional fluency in English and French, with excellent writing and editing ability in both languages.

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.
