Job description

Job Type: Full-time | Location: Fort Worth | Department: Procurement | Reporting to: VP, Data Center Procurement | Work Location Type: #remote

The Senior Analyst, Global Procurement Strategy will work directly with the VP of Data Center Procurement to shape, drive, and scale the global procurement strategy supporting IREN's expanding data center portfolio. This role blends strategic thinking with strong analytical rigor — translating business priorities, market intelligence, and performance data into the frameworks, plans, and materials that guide procurement decisions across regions. Operating in a fast-paced, high-growth environment, the Senior Analyst will play a central role in building procurement into a scalable, globally consistent function, while acting as a trusted right hand to the VP on strategic priorities, executive communications, and cross-regional coordination.

IREN is a vertically integrated AI Cloud provider, delivering large-scale data centers and GPU clusters for AI training and inference. IREN’s platform is underpinned by its expansive portfolio of grid-connected land and power in renewable-rich regions across North America, Europe and APAC.

With 100% renewable energy, we build, own and operate our data centers and take pride in being at the forefront of sustainable solutions for the ever-evolving applications of high-performance compute. We believe that human progress is invaluable, but it should be done in the right way – responsibly, sustainably and having a positive impact on the communities we operate in.

Key Responsibilities:

Global Procurement Strategy & Planning

  • Partner directly with the VP to develop, refine, and operationalize the global procurement strategy across data center categories and regions.
  • Translate strategic priorities into structured plans, frameworks, and roadmaps that regional and category teams can execute against.
  • Track progress against strategic initiatives and flag risks, gaps, or resourcing needs to leadership.

Expansion & Scaling Support

  • Support the design of procurement processes, governance, and tools needed to scale as IREN enters new markets and grows its data center footprint.
  • Coordinate readiness activities for new-market entry — supplier landscape assessment, category strategy input, and process standardization.
  • Identify where regional practices diverge and drive alignment toward a consistent global operating model.

Market & Business Intelligence

  • Research and synthesize market conditions, supplier capacity, competitive benchmarks, and category trends relevant to global expansion.
  • Build business cases, cost/benefit analyses, and comparative assessments to support key sourcing and strategic decisions.
  • Monitor spend, savings, and pipeline data across regions to identify trends, risks, and opportunities.

Executive Reporting & Communication

  • Prepare board- and leadership-ready materials, briefing documents, and presentations for the VP on strategy, performance, and expansion progress.
  • Build and maintain dashboards and recurring reporting on global procurement KPIs, category performance, and strategic initiative tracking.
  • Represent the VP's office in select cross-functional forums, ensuring alignment and follow-through on action items.

Cross-Functional & Regional Coordination

  • Act as a connective point between global strategy and regional/category execution teams (Sourcing, Category Management, Site Operations, Project Management).
  • Partner with Finance, Legal, HSE, and Technical teams to align procurement strategy with broader business and project timelines.
  • Support governance cadences (QBRs, leadership reviews, strategy check-ins) across geographies.

Process & Capability Development

  • Help standardize procurement strategy templates, planning tools, and reporting frameworks as the function scales globally.
  • Identify opportunities to leverage automation, AI-enabled tools, and data visualization to improve strategic decision-making.
  • Contribute to building institutional knowledge and best practices as new team members and regions come online.

Qualifications:

Required:

  • 5–8 years of experience in procurement, strategic sourcing, supply chain, management consulting, or a related strategy/analytics role.
  • Demonstrated experience supporting senior leadership with strategic planning, business cases, or executive-level reporting.
  • Strong analytical and financial acumen, with the ability to translate complex data into clear insights and recommendations.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including experience building executive-facing presentations and materials.
  • Comfort operating with ambiguity in a fast-paced, high-growth, evolving environment.
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain, Finance, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.

Preferred:

  • Experience in construction, infrastructure, energy, or data center/mission-critical environments.
  • Exposure to global or multi-region procurement, sourcing, or operations.
  • Familiarity with ERP/procurement systems (e.g., Coupa, SAP Ariba, Oracle) and BI tools (Power BI, Tableau).
  • Experience supporting capital projects, multi-site expansions, or new-market entry.
  • Background in strategy consulting, corporate strategy, or a chief-of-staff-style function.

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.
