Software Engineer – IRIS CARBON

Experience: 2–5 Years

Department: Product Engineering

Location: Surat

About the Role

We are looking for an AI-first Software Engineer with 2–5 years of experience to join our Product Engineering team and contribute to the development of IRIS CARBON, an enterprise platform for carbon and ESG reporting.

The ideal candidate should have strong hands-on experience in .NET Core, React.js, jQuery, REST APIs, Microservices, and MongoDB, along with practical experience using modern AI-assisted development tools.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and maintain scalable features and services for the IRIS CARBON platform. Develop backend services and REST APIs using C# and .NET Core. Build frontend applications using React.js, JavaScript, and jQuery. Design and develop Microservices-based applications. Work with MongoDB for data modeling, queries, aggregation, and performance optimization. Develop integrations with internal and external enterprise systems. Participate in technical design, coding, code reviews, testing, debugging, and deployment. Troubleshoot and resolve application, API, database, and production issues. Write clean, secure, reusable, and maintainable code. Collaborate with Product, QA, DevOps, and Architecture teams.

AI-First Engineering

AI is an integral part of our software engineering approach. The candidate should have practical hands-on experience with AI coding and developer productivity tools, such as:

  • Claude Code OpenAI Codex GitHub Copilot Similar AI-assisted development tools

Expected usage includes code generation, refactoring, debugging, test generation, code understanding, documentation, and developer productivity.

Candidates should be able to review, validate, test, and improve AI-generated code and take full ownership of the final solution.

Technology Stack

  • Backend: C#, .NET Core / ASP.NET Core Frontend: React.js, JavaScript, jQuery, HTML, CSS Architecture: Microservices, REST APIs Database: MongoDB Cloud & DevOps: Microsoft Azure, Azure DevOps, Git, CI/CD Microsoft 365: Office Add-ins / Office.js / Microsoft Graph / Entra ID – experience is an advantage AI: AI-assisted development, LLMs, AI APIs, IDP, Agentic AI – exposure is an advantage

Required Skills

  • 2–5 years of professional software development experience. Strong hands-on experience with C# and .NET Core. Good experience with React.js, JavaScript, and jQuery. Strong understanding of REST APIs and Microservices. Hands-on experience with MongoDB. Good understanding of OOP, SOLID principles, and design patterns. Strong debugging and problem-solving skills. Practical experience using AI-assisted coding tools. Good communication and collaboration skills.
