The ideal candidate brings extensive experience in IP telephony, voice and data network engineering, carrier services, and technical project management, along with a strong understanding of emerging telecommunications technologies.

HOW YOU'LL MAKE AN IMPACT

  • Lead the design, engineering, and implementation of voice and data telecommunications solutions, including network interfaces, system integrations, and supporting infrastructure.
  • Assess emerging technologies and recommend telecommunications platforms, network architectures, and solutions that align with customer requirements.
  • Provide Tier 3 engineering support for complex telecommunications and network incidents, including troubleshooting, root-cause analysis, corrective actions, and resolution of escalated issues.
  • Evaluate carrier-provided network services, telecommunications architectures, and service options to ensure optimal performance, reliability, and cost effectiveness.
  • Develop detailed engineering designs, network configurations, process flows, and technical documentation supporting system implementation and ongoing operations.
  • Design and execute voice integration and failover testing plans to validate system functionality, reliability, and performance.
  • Conduct telecommunications billing audits, identify discrepancies, and work with carriers to resolve billing issues and recover applicable credits.
  • Collaborate with telecommunications carriers, service providers, and internal stakeholders to coordinate service implementations, monitor delivery timelines, and ensure compliance with contractual requirements.
  • Develop project management plans, including implementation schedules, resource estimates, cost projections, and risk mitigation strategies.
  • Identify opportunities to introduce advanced telecommunications capabilities while improving operational efficiency and reducing costs.
  • Prepare and present technical recommendations, strategic analyses, Statements of Work (SOWs), and management reports to customers and key stakeholders.
  • Provide technical guidance, training, and customer support throughout the implementation and ongoing management of telecommunications solutions.

SKILLS THAT DRIVE SUCCESS

  • Minimum 15 years of experience in voice and data network engineering, telecommunications architecture, and related business operations.
  • Minimum 10 years of experience designing and implementing IP telephony systems.
  • Minimum 10 years of project management experience, preferably within a client-facing technical services environment.
  • Strong understanding of telecommunications infrastructure, network architecture, and carrier-provided transport services.
  • Knowledge of LAN/WAN and VoIP technologies, including MPLS, BGP, SIP, IMS, and related network protocols.
  • Experience with telecommunications routers, switches, carrier services, and supporting network infrastructure.
  • Experience evaluating multi-carrier service architectures, telecommunications pricing models, and operations support systems.
  • Demonstrated experience conducting telecommunications billing audits, identifying discrepancies, and preparing management reports with findings and recommendations.
  • Experience developing technical documentation, engineering designs, implementation plans, Statements of Work, and strategic assessments.
  • Strong project management skills, including resource planning, scheduling, cost estimation, risk management, and stakeholder coordination.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present complex technical information to both technical and nontechnical audiences.
  • Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to resolve complex telecommunications and network challenges.
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively with customers, telecommunications carriers, vendors, and cross-functional technical teams.

WHAT SETS YOU APART

  • Master's degree in Telecommunications or a related technical field.
  • Experience designing, developing, and implementing telecommunications networks supporting public transit environments.
  • Advanced knowledge of multi-carrier telecommunications architectures, service provider offerings, pricing structures, and operational support systems.
  • Hands-on experience developing and delivering training and customer support for VoIP implementations.
  • Experience leading complex telecommunications modernization initiatives involving multiple carriers, technologies, and stakeholders.

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.
