The posting

Own the estimating process. Build strong relationships. Help shape our growth.

You know how to turn a complex set of drawings into a competitive, well-built estimate. You understand the details that protect a project’s margin—and the relationships that create the next opportunity.

We’re looking for an experienced Senior Drywall Estimator to take ownership of our estimating function, strengthen our general contractor relationships, and help expand our commercial and multifamily business.

This is an opportunity to influence which projects we pursue, how we bid, and how we grow. If you enjoy working independently, bringing precision to your estimates, and building relationships that lead to profitable work, we want to meet you.

About US

We are a professional drywall, framing, and taping subcontractor delivering high-quality interior construction services for commercial and residential projects. Our work is built on craftsmanship, efficiency, and teamwork, supported by strong safety and quality standards.

What You’ll Do

  • Own estimates from takeoff through submission: Prepare complete, accurate estimates for drywall, metal framing, insulation, taping, accessories, and related scopes.
  • Develop competitive pricing: Estimate labor, materials, equipment, and subcontracted work using OST and QuickBid; solicit and evaluate vendor and supplier quotes.
  • Review the details: Analyze drawings, specifications, addenda, and bid documents to identify scope gaps, exclusions, and potential risks.
  • Build strong proposals: Prepare bids, clarifications, and value engineering options that clearly communicate our scope and approach.
  • Manage the estimating pipeline: Prioritize opportunities, coordinate deadlines, follow up on bids, and track results.
  • Grow GC relationships: Strengthen existing connections, develop new relationships, and generate additional bidding opportunities.
  • Support successful project handoffs: Coordinate with project managers through award, turnover, and startup; assist with project budgets and change order pricing.
  • Keep improving: Maintain organized bid files, historical cost data, and estimating databases to sharpen future estimates.
  • Attend pre-bid meetings, site walks, and scope reviews as needed.

Requirements

What You Bring

  • 5+ years of drywall and metal framing estimating experience, including strong commercial and multifamily project experience.
  • Proficiency in OST (On-Screen Takeoff) and QuickBid, along with Microsoft Excel.
  • A strong understanding of construction drawings, specifications, drywall systems, metal framing, and taping.
  • Experience independently managing the full estimating process, including pricing, scope reviews, bid submission, and follow-up.
  • Established general contractor relationships and the ability to develop new bidding opportunities.
  • Strong attention to detail, sound judgment, and the ability to manage multiple bids and meet deadlines.
  • Clear communication skills and a practical understanding of project risk and profitability.

Additional experience we value: Prevailing wage projects, affordable housing, union labor pricing, local building codes, and fire-rated assemblies.

Benefits

What We Offer

  • Competitive base salary based on experience and qualifications.
  • Bonus potential
  • Comprehensive health, dental, and vision insurance.
  • 401k plan
  • Paid time off and holidays.
  • Phone allowance.
  • Opportunities for professional growth and development.
  • Ownership of a critical function with a direct impact on company growth.

Work environment: A combination of office and jobsite presence in a fast-paced construction environment.

Bring Your Expertise. Build What’s Next.

If you’re ready to take ownership of estimating and help Paramount win its next wave of projects, apply with your résumé and a brief overview of your commercial and multifamily drywall estimating experience.

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.
