Om ons team verder te versterken zijn we momenteel op zoek naar een AI Engineer & Agentic Developer (m/v/x) om aan de slag te gaan bij onze klant in Antwerpen.

Als AI Engineer & Agentic Developer help je AI-oplossingen evolueren van prototypes naar schaalbare productieomgevingen, met een aantoonbare impact op kernprocessen zoals schadebeheer, fraudedetectie en underwriting. Je krijgt de kans om zowel MLOps/AIOps verder uit te bouwen als de technische richting te bepalen voor agentic oplossingen. Daarnaast help je de fundamenten leggen voor de verdere uitrol van AI binnen de organisatie in de komende jaren. Je krijgt hierbij de nodige autonomie om technische standaarden en best practices mee vorm te geven.

Als AI Engineer maak je deel uit van het AI-team en rapporteer je aan de Team Lead. Je werkt vanuit Antwerpen binnen een agile team dat zich richt op het op een betrouwbare, schaalbare en veilige manier in productie brengen van AI-oplossingen.

Verantwoordelijkheden:

  • Je combineert diepgaande expertise in AIOps/MLOps met technisch leiderschap op het vlak van agentic automation. Je werkt zelfstandig en fungeert als technisch aanspreekpunt voor het team
  • Je neemt het volledige traject in handen: samen met de business vertaal je concrete uitdagingen naar oplossingen die effectief in productie draaien en gebruikt worden
  • Je begeleidt data scientists bij het implementeren van modellen in productieomgevingen en waakt erover dat AI-oplossingen voldoen aan hoge kwaliteits-, veiligheids- en governancevereisten
  • Je ontwerpt en bouwt betrouwbare data- en inference pipelines, implementeert CI/CD-processen en zorgt voor observability via logging, monitoring, alerts en drift detection. Daarnaast werk je samen met Security, Risk & Compliance om AI-oplossingen te ontwikkelen die van bij het ontwerp compliant zijn
  • Je neemt een voortrekkersrol op in de ontwikkeling van agentic oplossingen. Van proof of value tot productie ontwerp en bouw je performante oplossingen die via API's, tool use/function calling, RAG en robuuste orchestration patterns veilig integreren met interne systemen
  • Je bepaalt evaluatie- en testframeworks, waaronder red teaming en guardrails, voert code reviews uit en helpt best practices binnen het team verankeren. Je werkt zelf AI-first en bouwt mee aan herbruikbare componenten en standaarden
  • Naast de technische implementatie adviseer je de Product Owner en Domain Product Manager over architectuurkeuzes, risico's, haalbaarheid en prioriteiten. Je daagt de ontwerpen van externe deliverypartners kritisch uit en voorkomt geïsoleerde PoC's en shadow AI
  • Je draagt bij aan AI-governance, documentatie, standaarden en de verdere ontwikkeling van AI-geletterdheid binnen de organisatie. Hiervoor werk je nauw samen met architectuur, IT, data scientists en externe deliverypartners

Profiel

  • Minstens 6 jaar ervaring in software- of data-engineering, waarvan minstens 3 jaar als AI/ML Engineer, MLOps Engineer of in een vergelijkbare functie. Je hebt zelf AI-oplossingen naar productie gebracht
  • Ervaring als Technical Lead, met betrokkenheid bij architectuurkeuzes, code reviews en coaching van collega's
  • Grondige kennis van AIOps/MLOps, CI/CD, Azure DevOps, Git, Docker, containers, Kubernetes en Infrastructure as Code (Terraform)
  • Ervaring met model registries, feature stores, experiment tracking, monitoring, alerting en data- en inference pipelines
  • Sterke kennis van Python en goede software-engineeringpraktijken, waaronder testing en clean code
  • Ervaring met Azure ML, Azure OpenAI, AI Foundry, Azure AI Search, Fabric, JFrog/ACR en AKS
  • Kennis van agentic frameworks, RAG, Copilot Studio, DSPy, tool use/function calling en semantic caching
  • Kennis van security, governance, RBAC, secrets management, gegevensbescherming en de EU AI Act is een sterke troef
  • Kennis van Microsoft Fabric, databases en vector databases
  • Sterke communicatieve vaardigheden en een coachende ingesteldheid
  • Pragmatisch en resultaatgericht
  • Durft beslissingen nemen en kan technische keuzes helder toelichten aan niet-technische collega's
  • TalenkennisZeer goede kennis van Nederlands en Engels, met een basiskennis van Frans

  • De leiding nemen in de ontwikkeling van veilige, performante en schaalbare agentic oplossingen
