Om ons team verder te versterken zijn we momenteel op zoek naar een Azure Data Engineer (m/v/x) om aan de slag te gaan bij onze klant in Brussel.

  • Deze positie kan worden ingevuld met zowel vast contract (bediendestatuut) als freelance contract

Functie

Als Azure Data Engineer speel je een sleutelrol in de verdere uitbouw, optimalisatie en governance van een moderne Azure Data Platform-omgeving. De focus ligt op het ontwikkelen van nieuwe data use cases voor reporting, analytics en data science, het versterken van datagovernance, het ondersteunen van self-service data-oplossingen en het optimaliseren van platformprestaties en kosten.

Je werkt mee aan de evolutie van de data-architectuur en zorgt ervoor dat het platform performant, schaalbaar, veilig en betrouwbaar blijft.

Jouw verantwoordelijkheden:

  • Ontwerpen, ontwikkelen en onderhouden van data pipelines met Azure Data Factory, Databricks en andere Azure-services
  • Implementeren van moderne data-architecturen zoals Data Lake, Delta Lake en Lakehouse
  • Ontwikkelen en industrialiseren van nieuwe business use cases voor rapportering, analytics en data science
  • Implementeren en beheren van Databricks Unity Catalog, inclusief datagovernance, security, toegangsbeheer en data sharing
  • Ondersteunen van een self-service datastrategie voor businessgebruikers
  • Monitoren en optimaliseren van prestaties, resourceverbruik en kosten binnen Azure en Databricks
  • Automatiseren van data-ingestie-, transformatie- en deploymentprocessen
  • Samenwerken met Data Analysts, Data Scientists en business stakeholders
  • Documenteren van dataflows, architecturen en best practices
  • Actief bijdragen aan de continue verbetering van het Azure Data Platform

Profiel & technische expertise:

  • Bachelor- of masterdiploma in Informatica, Data Engineering of een gelijkwaardige richting
  • Minimaal 5 jaar relevante ervaring als Data Engineer of in een vergelijkbare functie
  • Aantoonbare ervaring met Azure Databricks, Unity Catalog en Azure data-architectuur
  • Sterke expertise in Azure Data Factory, Azure Databricks, Azure Storage, Azure SQL, Azure Key Vault en Azure DevOps
  • Grondige kennis van Lakehouse-architecturen, Spark, PySpark, Delta Lake, SQL en Python
  • Ervaring met datagovernance, monitoring, performantie-optimalisatie en kostenbeheer binnen Azure-omgevingen
  • Kennis van CI/CD-principes en integratiepatronen zoals REST API en AMQP
  • Analytisch sterk, proactief en oplossingsgericht, met zowel een zelfstandige als samenwerkingsgerichte werkhouding
  • Sterke communicatieve vaardigheden en het vermogen om technische concepten helder over te brengen naar diverse stakeholders
  • Nederlands of Frans: uitstekende kennis
  • Tweede landstaal (Nederlands of Frans): goede kennis
  • Engels: goede kennis

  • Ervaring met Power BI-beheer en governance
  • Ervaring met real-time data streaming
  • Kennis van Terraform of Infrastructure as Code
  • Ervaring met Azure Monitor en Log Analytics

  • Ervaring binnen Agile/Scrum-teams
