Role Overview:

Itero Group is seeking an Operational Analyst with 4–6 years of experience to support commercial lending operations and a loan application/origination system upgrade. This role combines operational analysis, hands-on UAT, and reporting/data analysis.

The ideal candidate will have experience with commercial lending or loan operations and understand the loan lifecycle from application and approval through closing, booking, and servicing.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support commercial lending operations, including loan application, closing, booking, servicing, modifications, renewals, and payoffs.
  • Review business requirements and assess the impact of system changes on operational processes and workflows.
  • Create, maintain, and execute UAT test cases for a loan application/origination system upgrade.
  • Perform hands-on testing through the front-end/GUI, including entering and processing loans and validating functionality and results.
  • Execute functional, regression, and end-to-end testing and maintain appropriate test evidence, results, defects, and retesting documentation.
  • Research operational and system issues and work with business and technology teams to validate fixes.
  • Use Excel to analyze, reconcile, and validate loan and testing data.
  • Prepare and support loan, exception, maturity, reconciliation, and testing reports.
  • Use Power BI and/or Power Query, where applicable, to analyze data and identify loans or data populations needed for testing and reporting.
  • Support system conversions, data cleanup, reconciliation, and other operational activities related to the upgrade.
  • Partner with Operations, lenders, relationship managers, business SMEs, and technology teams to resolve issues and provide status updates.

Required Qualifications

  • 4–6 years of relevant experience in commercial lending, loan operations, banking, credit union, or financial services.
  • Experience with commercial loan operations and/or loan application/origination processes.
  • Hands-on UAT/testing experience, preferably involving a loan application or loan origination system.
  • Experience creating and executing test cases, documenting defects, capturing evidence, and performing retesting.
  • Strong Microsoft Excel and data analysis skills.
  • Understanding of the commercial loan lifecycle and related operational processes.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, documentation, and communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience supporting a loan application or loan origination system upgrade, conversion, or modernization initiative.
  • Experience with Power BI to identify loans or data populations containing specific attributes needed for testing.
  • Familiarity with Salesforce; advanced Salesforce expertise is not required.
