The posting

Contract to start ASAP

Duration: 12 weeks with a possible extension.

Job Purpose

To provide high-quality business analysis and support the successful delivery of organisational change, service improvement and digital transformation initiatives across Plymouth City Council.

The role will work with stakeholders to understand business needs, identify opportunities for improvement, define requirements and support the development and implementation of effective solutions.

Responsibilities

Work with service areas and stakeholders to understand business needs, challenges and objectives.

Analyse existing business processes, systems and workflows to identify inefficiencies and opportunities for improvement.

Gather, document, validate and prioritise business and functional requirements.

Facilitate workshops, interviews and stakeholder meetings to capture requirements and develop a shared understanding of business needs.

Produce clear business analysis documentation, including process maps, requirements specifications, user stories, business cases and options appraisals.

Analyse data and information to support evidence-based decision-making.

Develop current-state and future-state process models and identify opportunities for service redesign.

Work collaboratively with project managers, technical teams, service managers, suppliers and other stakeholders.

Translate business requirements into clear and actionable information for technical and delivery teams.

Support the assessment and implementation of new systems, processes and digital solutions.

Assist with defining acceptance criteria and support user acceptance testing where required.

Identify dependencies, risks, issues and potential impacts associated with proposed changes.
