Team members receive guidance, training, and support while building the confidence to troubleshoot issues and take greater ownership of their work. Growth is shaped by individual initiative and supported by experienced colleagues who collaborate, share knowledge, and help remove barriers. We value talented individuals who ask questions, bring forward practical ideas, and identify opportunities to improve safety, quality, and manufacturing performance while following established documentation and procedural requirements.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Provides hands-on technical support for Star Swiss lathes, FANUC controllers, FANUC robots, and related manufacturing equipment.
  • Troubleshoots machine, tooling, programming, automation, and process issues; identifies practical corrections and escalates issues when appropriate.
  • Performs machine setup support, adjustments, recovery activities, basic repairs, and verification testing in accordance with approved procedures and training.
  • Reads and works with CNC G-code and demonstrates awareness of FANUC Macro B programming, including variables, logic, and macro calls used in established programs.
  • Executes assigned technical tasks independently after objectives, priorities, and applicable procedures are defined; seeks clarification when requirements are unclear.
  • Supports equipment and process improvements by collecting data, documenting observations, testing approved changes, and providing practical feedback to Engineering, Operations, Quality, and Maintenance.
  • Completes production and quality documentation accurately, thoroughly, and on time while following required review and approval processes.
  • Follows approved procedures and change-control requirements; does not bypass required steps or take shortcuts that could affect safety, quality, compliance, or product integrity.
  • Supports manufacturing using company provided tooling with troubleshooting, equipment upgrades, retrofits, setups, methods development, preventive maintenance activities, and implementation of approved process parameters.
  • Communicates equipment status, troubleshooting findings, completed work, risks, and follow-up needs clearly to affected teams and shifts.
  • Assists with trials, inspections, measurements, capability studies, and validation activities under established protocols or direction.
  • Supports updating technical documentation including setup sheets, work instructions, troubleshooting guides, maintenance records, and training materials.
  • Maintains an organized work area and handles tools, gauges, components, and records in accordance with site requirements.
  • Applies basic Lean manufacturing and structured problem-solving methods to assigned improvement activities.
  • Reviews completed projects for accuracy, clarity and completeness.
  • Ensures projects are compliant with all local, regional and national regulatory requirements/codes and controls.
  • Supports all company safety and quality programs and initiatives.
  • May perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Job Qualifications and Knowledge Requirements:

  • High School Diploma, Associate degree, technical certificate, apprenticeship, or equivalent combination of relevant education and hands-on experience preferred.
  • Typically requires two or more years of relevant technical experience in CNC machining, equipment support, automation, maintenance, or a related manufacturing environment.
  • Experience supporting Swiss-style CNC lathes is strongly preferred; experience with Star machines and FANUC controls is highly desirable.
  • Experience with FANUC robots or comparable industrial robotic automation is preferred.
  • Working knowledge of CNC G-code and awareness of FANUC Macro B programming concepts are preferred.
  • Demonstrates strong mechanical aptitude, systematic troubleshooting skills, attention to detail, and sound technical judgment within the scope of the role.
  • Demonstrates initiative, ownership, and the ability to plan and complete assigned work with limited supervision.
  • Demonstrates patience and discipline when completing documentation, investigations, approvals, and other required manufacturing processes.
  • Experience in medical device or another regulated manufacturing industry is preferred; aerospace manufacturing experience is also beneficial.
  • Communicates effectively, works constructively across functions and shifts, and asks appropriate questions when technical or procedural requirements are unclear.

Other Requirements:

  • Participates in and understands compliance related activities pertaining to the job assignment including compliance with the Quality System Regulation (QSR), Standard Operating Procedures (SOP), and applicable Work Instructions.

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.
