JAM Clothing has an opportunity available for a Human Resource Consultant to join the team. Reporting to the National HR Manager, the main purpose of this role will be to assist the HRBP's to deliver across the HR life cycle to all areas of the business.

We're looking for a motivated HR professional with one to three years' experience who is eager to learn. You'll bring a solid foundation you can put to work from day one, and a genuine appetite to learn, take on new challenges and make a real impact.

The position is based in Durban.

Minimum Requirements:

Essential:

  • Grade 12 / Matric.
  • Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources or Industrial Psychology or similar.
  • 1 - 3 years HR experience in a retail environment.

Advantageous:

  • Knowledge of Sage and Moodle.
  • Experience with Excel and Reporting.

Responsibilities:

1.Recruitment, Selection & On boarding:

  • Assisting with sourcing, screening, checks, references and ad hoc interviews for entry level roles across the business.
  • Draft employment contracts, offer letters and job descriptions for new starters
  • Prepare onboarding and offboarding for new starters and terminations from the business.

2. HR Administration:

  • Maintain employee files and HR records
  • Assist with scheduling and minute taking for EE and Health and Safety meetings and ensure the files are updated and complete.
  • Assist with HR record keeping on Sage

3. Training and Development:

  • Assist with any adhoc training needs in stores or Head Office in terms of coordination, set up or preparation.

4. Employee Relations:

  • Assist with the recording of warnings and CCMA cases on Sage.
  • Assist with any adhoc drafting of documents such as Letters of Concern when needed.

5. Project Management:

  • Assist with execution of any ad hoc projects within the HR Team.
