About Us

Johnson Controls, a global leader in thermal management, mission-critical building systems, energy efficiency, and decarbonization, helps customers use energy more productively, reduce carbon emissions, and operate with the precision and resilience required in rapidly expanding industries such as data centers, healthcare, pharmaceuticals, advanced manufacturing, and higher education.

For more than 140 years, Johnson Controls has delivered performance where it really matters. Backed by advanced technology, lifecycle services and an industry-leading field organization, we elevate customer performance, turn goals into real-world results and help move society forward.

What you will do

Johnson Controls is seeking a field-based sales professional to help grow industrial refrigeration business across a designated territory. In this role, you will support Food and Beverage customers, refrigeration contractors, engineers, and end users with practical application knowledge, commercial insight, and Frick equipment expertise.

As District Sales Manager, you will own territory sales efforts for industrial refrigeration solutions, build demand for Frick equipment, and help customers match the right equipment to their project requirements. You will work closely with contractors and market stakeholders while serving as an important link between the field, regional management, and the factory.

How you will do it

  • Promote the sale of Food and Beverage equipment within your assigned territory.
  • Support refrigeration contractors with technical and commercial information that helps advance refrigeration equipment sales.
  • Create demand for Frick equipment among end users and engineers so opportunities can be sold through refrigeration contractors.
  • Provide feedback to regional management and factory teams on commercial topics, technical matters, customer perception, competitive activity, and market trends.
  • Share order, pipeline, and forecast information, along with insight on secured and lost jobs, to support business planning and project execution.
  • Gather project and market data that can support proactive bidding and improved project profitability.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with contractor, engineer, and owner/end-user accounts across the territory.
  • Represent the business in industry associations such as RETA, IARW, PIA, and ASHRAE.
  • Travel extensively to maintain direct customer contact and respond to customer needs in the field.
  • Take ownership of territory results with accountability, safety, and integrity by staying organized, following through on commitments, and representing Johnson Controls professionally in every customer interaction.
  • Stay close to the work and remove obstacles by spending time with refrigeration contractors, engineers, and end users to understand application needs, project timing, and decision drivers firsthand.
  • Improve every day through candor and problem-solving by sharing clear feedback on market trends, competitor activity, customer perception, and project outcomes with regional management and the factory.
  • Win as one team by collaborating with internal partners and participating in RETA, IARW, PIA, and ASHRAE to strengthen relationships and expand demand for Frick equipment.

What We Look For

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Engineering Technology, or equivalent experience and training
  • Comprehensive knowledge of industrial refrigeration components and equipment
  • Background in industrial refrigeration sales/engineering, refrigeration contracting, or food freezing
  • Graduation from a refrigeration technical school with six or more years of proven experience

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.
