As a Fire Service Supervisor, you will lead a field service team that delivers high-quality, on-time service while supporting safety, customer satisfaction, and service growth.

Role Overview

This role is responsible for leading, coaching, and developing field service technicians so work is completed safely, efficiently, and to a high standard. You will balance team leadership, customer communication, dispatch coordination, and operational follow-through to keep service commitments on track and identify opportunities to grow the business.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead, coach, and develop a team of field service technicians through goal setting, one-on-one coaching, performance reviews, training, and mentorship.
  • Plan, prioritize, and dispatch service calls in partnership with coordinators to optimize routing, workload, and response times.
  • Build strong customer relationships that support customer satisfaction, retention, and service growth opportunities.
  • Promote a strong safety culture by supporting safety training, job hazard analysis, incident investigations, and compliance with company and regulatory standards.
  • Track and report service metrics such as response time, first-time fix rate, backlog, and on-time completion, then act on the results.
  • Ensure service documentation, work orders, and reporting are accurate, complete, and submitted in a timely manner.
  • Manage resources to improve efficiency, reduce costs, and support service profitability.
  • Collaborate with sales, installation, engineering, and operations teams to resolve escalations and deliver a seamless customer experience.

How You Will Do It

  • Own outcomes with accountability, safety, and integrity by setting clear expectations and following through on service quality, team leadership, and customer commitments.
  • Focus on what matters by staying close to the work, removing obstacles for technicians and customers, and keeping priorities aligned to service needs.
  • Improve every day by using performance data, candid coaching, and practical problem-solving to strengthen delivery and reduce recurring issues.
  • Win as one team by building trust across sales, installation, engineering, operations, and field service so customers experience consistent support.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Minimum 2 years of leadership experience in Fire systems/services/building automation, field service, maintenance, or a related technical environment.
  • Strong mechanical and electrical aptitude.
  • Excellent communication, coaching, negotiation, and conflict resolution skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, customer-focused environment.
  • Proficiency with scheduling systems, data reporting, and basic analytics tools.
  • Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record and the ability to travel locally to customer sites.
  • Ability to work in field environments, perform physical tasks, and lift up to 50 lbs.

Nice to Have

  • Technical degree, certifications, or relevant college coursework.
  • NICET or other industry credentials.
  • Experience in fire protection, fire service, or a similar field operations environment.

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.
