This field sales role focuses on building trusted customer relationships, developing solutions, and turning opportunities into long-term service business.

Role Overview

In this role, you will manage a full sales cycle for fire alarm and life safety service work, from uncovering opportunities and shaping a value proposition to preparing proposals, negotiating terms, closing business, and supporting the customer after the sale. Key Responsibilities

  • Sell Fire/Life Safety service offerings and Electronic Services (Moves, Adds and Changes) to assigned customers and end users.
  • Manage the full sales process from opportunity discovery and solution development through design, contract creation, negotiation, closing, and ongoing service support.
  • Work with sales, technical, design engineering, service, support, and management teams to meet customer needs.
  • Determine customer needs and develop a sales strategy to position company product offerings effectively.
  • Close sales to meet or exceed sales plan objectives and maintain an active proposal backlog that supports the designated sales plan.
  • Assume account management responsibility, including coordination of services such as installation and customer training to support complete customer satisfaction.
  • Prepare financial justifications, proposals, and presentations, and perform the follow-up needed to secure the sale.

  • Maintain established accounts through regular customer contact, conduct building surveys to support estimates, and perform periodic market investigations to identify new applications.
  • Provide sales forecasting for the assigned territory and maintain correct, complete records of all sales-related activity.

How You Will Do It

  • Take ownership of your territory, customer commitments, and sales outcomes while acting with safety and integrity in every interaction.
  • Stay close to the customer, uncover the real need quickly, and remove barriers that delay a decision or service delivery.
  • Manage your pipeline with discipline, keeping an active proposal backlog and following up consistently to move opportunities forward.
  • Use clear communication, strong organization, and practical problem-solving to handle questions related to delivery dates, billing, financing, and post-sale service.
  • Work across sales, technical, design engineering, service, support, and management teams, building trust and aligning diverse perspectives to win together.
  • Improve every day by learning from each customer interaction, using candid review to sharpen proposals and forecasting, and continually refining your approach.

Qualifications

  • Three or more years of successful sales experience with fire alarms, security control, and monitoring or a similar industry.
  • Excellent sales, presentation, and closing techniques.
  • Strong communication and organizational skills.
  • Self-motivated and able to work with limited supervision.

  • Highly motivated and success driven.
  • Ability to quickly identify and qualify opportunities.
  • High degree of self-discipline.
  • Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record.
  • Ability to obtain appropriate licenses required by national, state, and local codes.

Nice to Have

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.
