- This position is 100% onsite. Remote work is not available for this position.
Responsibilities
The Line Pair is the maintenance point of contact for their assigned asset(s) and is responsible for the execution of the maintenance and reliability program for that asset(s). As the point of contact, the Line Pair will work closely with the operations team for their line to identify equipment issues and communicate these issues to maintenance leadership. The Line Pair works closely with the maintenance planners to prioritize work, create/update work plans, and manage down days on their assigned asset(s). The Line Pair also works with the reliability team to improve equipment reliability.
- Daily work assignments included but not limited to;
- Attend the morning Asset Team meeting for assigned asset(s) to collect information from Operations and the outgoing shift maintenance group.
- Attend the Maintenance Morning Kick-off meeting to communicate the day’s plan and any new issues from the Asset Team meeting with the maintenance group.
- Conduct morning rounds on your asset(s) with the Process Tech to identify deficiencies, safety issues, or runnability problems.
- Support maintenance activities defined by the planner or maintenance team leaders.
- Work with the Maintenance Planner to enhance work plans used to repair equipment.
- Follow all Irving Tissue safety rules and policies and always work in a safe manner.
Maintenance Down Day responsibilities:
The Line Pair is the point of contact during maintenance down days.
During maintenance down days, complete backlog and planned work orders that require downtime. You are expected to stay until the asset is running without maintenance issue. In converting this means consecutive good pallets are coming off the palletizer and on the tissue machines this means consecutive good rolls are picked up from the roll handling conveyors.
Act as an owner of asset reliability.
- Support the maintenance escalation plan by answering off-hours phone calls and/or coming on-site to support shift maintenance with equipment repairs to restore production.
- Work with the reliability team to identify root causes to problem statements and develop potential solutions.
- Work with the asset team to identify continuous improvement opportunities on the asset(s). This includes work with OEM vendors, the engineering team, and the reliability team.
- If your asset(s) has an emergency breakdown and shift is unavailable, investigate the issue and assist with the repairs. You are expected to stay past your shift to complete the repair or elevate the issue and conduct a thorough handover.
- Responsible for the entry of follow-up work requests based on work findings and improvement ideas.
- Work with OEMs/vendors during equipment upgrades and troubleshooting. For Electrical Line Pairs, verify that programs are backed up and electrical prints are updated when work is completed. Mechanical Line Pairs verify that mechanical prints are updated when work is complete.
- Responsible for proactive personal development.
Qualifications
Minimum: High School or GED equivalent is required, Technical Diploma preferred Must have strong analytical and trouble-shooting skills. Good written and verbal communication skills are required. High attention to detail is required. The Line Pair should have diverse experience in maintenance and reliability. Possess practical skills and knowledge in their trade, condition-based monitoring, parts knowledge, troubleshooting, and maintenance and reliability programs. Experience navigating JDE is desired. Preferred: Maintenance Management Professional (MMP) or Certified Maintenance and Reliability Professional (CRMP) education and training Must have familiarity of the technical requirements of the area with 2 - 3 years or more of maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment Previous experience in a variety of operational / technical positions with demonstrated leadership in achieving results is a benefit. Internships or co-op experience are applicable The Line Pair should have diverse experience in maintenance and reliability.
- Possess practical skills and knowledge in their trade, condition-based monitoring, parts knowledge, troubleshooting, and maintenance and reliability programs.
- Experience navigating JDE is desired.
